Not one thing was disliked during my stay. I couldn't even imagine anything bad about this incredible accommodation. I'll never look to another when staying here in Hakuba.

Amazing location out front of Happo One Ski Resort. The food options are amazing so much great food options near by, but most of all the staff was so amazing. They make sure that everyone is happily taken care of.

I can’t really complain about it. Staff were absolutely superb and kind.

It was a great location just across the ski resort. Breakfast was included in the booking. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, the staff put a lot of effort to make sure you feel happy and comfortable. The place has a lot of facilities for you including onsen, and a very easy access to a dry room to hung all your wet gear after your snow sports. I was picked up from the station and dropped back off at no extra cost.

Asuka Lodge has a chill hostel vibe and the host was very accommodating; even took us to the train station to help us purchase our train tickets to Kyoto.

The location was probably the only thing due to being up the hill and away from most of the shops and restaurant, but I think thats the sacrifice you have to make if you would like to be close to the ski lifts at Happo one.

Break fast was really good and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I would stay there again due to the staff and the amenities, the place was also super clean and there was enough staff to ask questions.

I enjoyed the variety of services provided and the onsen that was available to use when needed. The staff and the atmosphere was very welcoming and pleasing to be around. Another thing that I would like to add is that the location of the lodge wad very suitable for skiing along it being very near the hill, giving a nice view along with a nice entry towards the hill.

The lodge seems a little dated but otherwise was a comfortable place to stay in. Can get a little noisy from 7pm - 9pm at the common areas.

We appreciated the to/fro transportation service by the staff. We made a very last minute booking and the staff responded to our queries promptly, thank you! Shout out to Olivia and Justin :) They have english-speaking staff on site so not to worry about the language barrier. They served mainly American breakfast when I was there. Ambience/vibe-wise, if you're looking for a more local / Japanese experience, this might not be the best place as it seems to be catered more for Gaikokuki-jins. Onsen amenity was basic but served its purpose. There's only a sink in the room - you'll have to go out of the room to use the shared toilet / shared onsen. There's a washing machine for complimentary use (dryer at extra cost). There's a mini drying rack in the room. Shoes to be removed at the entrance. NO LIFTS so you'll have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. Went in late-December - the lodge felt warm and toasty (could go around in shorts) so not to worry about the cold. Happo-One slope is just right across the street (is right outside the window) but I suppose that's for intermediate / advance levels. You'll probably have to walk 10-15 mins (if in ski boots) to the beginner slopes. **For dinner around Hakuba in general, please ensure to make reservation ahead of time. It's HARD to find a place during dinner time, especially in the cold.

Wet mildew smell in the halls is probably hard to get under control in the wet winter.

Few stairs but that’s after a full day skiing !!!!!

Friendly staff who were made our stay perfect. Room and facilities really good with a great hot breakfast including bakery and fruit. Drying room terrific and easy access to lifts across road. Not far from restaurant and gondola. Offered pick ups and drop off to bus or train station. Recommend and would return. Thanks Asuka Lodge.

The staff are so amazing and friendly. Always happy to help when we had any questions. The lodge is also located very conveniently to the ski slopes and food restaurants. It is also easy access to shuttle buses to the other ski resorts in Hakuba.

Amazing spot, 3 min walk to ski field. Staff incredible. Fun to meet and mingle with other guests in the shared lounge area. yummy breakfast. olivia and Kie were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend for families as we travelled with our two teenage daughters. Check out the photo from our bedroom window!

The property is close to lifts, restaurants, and all rental shops. It has its own onsen and the staff are amazing and the breakfast provided onsite is fantastic. The staff are always able to help with any issues and advice on the area.

Staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Included breakfast was a great way to meet other travellers. Room was spacious and comfortable. couple minute walk down to the gondola and able to end the day on the snow right out the front of the lodge
