Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Classic ‘seaside resort hotel’ - large and comfy, nestled into a natural park of sorts. Beautiful ocean view, two great Onsen options with complementary opening times. Restaurants were top rate and offered excellent choice. Staff were particularly attentive to my meat-free dietary choice. Original hotel built over ocean, modern amenities.

Breakfast was limited to Jpse food but it was a nice variety of healthy, natural, and delicious items. Dinner at the Jpse restaurant was also quiet good and very reasonable for kaiseki dinner. Sake flight was very nice too, and service was excellent. The 7th floor deluxe king room was spacious, clean, well-equipped and had a great ocean view. The room has obviously been renovated, everything looked quite new. Confirmed on checkout that they used COVID downturn to renovate rooms. Both onsen baths were nice - use the one on B1 floor for best ocean view.

SingaporeThe building is too old. The decor makes you feel like you’re in the 70s. The private onsen is not available for booking, but this was not communicated prior to arrival. When asked during check in, the front desk just made “X” hand gesture and typed in computer “construction” without further explanation. The corridor on level 5 next to elevator facing the function room is just too dark at night. The ambiance is bad. The soundproofing of room is bad. There’s mold growing on the ceiling of our room. The furniture is very dated. There’s mold growing on the bedside lamp. The view from the level 5 room is obstructed by an old fountain that’s not working. It was too uncomfortable, hence we forfeited 1 night of our 2 nights stay and the hotel charged us full price. We came from far just to experience the onsen and the room. But the pictures shown on the site is very different from the actual room that we got. Not to mention we couldn’t enjoy the onsen in the end. (My husband has tattoo, and the hotel doesn’t provide tape to paste over. And we couldn’t book the private onsen)
The surroundings of the hotel is beautiful. It is located by the waters of Izu Peninsula.
