Fantastic hosts! Thanks so much for organizing the dinner the first night, it was really beautiful. Highly recommend staying here. It's about a 25 minute train ride into the cbd but I really liked the opportunity to stay in a more traditional place and it was a lovely area. I would definitely stay here again. Bonus was discovering the wonderful cat temple! It's on the street behind the B&B down from the main temple. The goshuin I got was amazing!

There was nothing we didn’t like about this property, our stay was amazing

We loved this property, potentially the best we have ever stayed at. While the facilities and the actual cabin we stayed in were beyond exceptional, we owe our amazing experience of Mikawa to the B & B host, Sasa. He was so attentive and gave us phenomenal recommendations for places we definitely wouldn’t have been able to find without his help. We were only in Mikawa for two nights, and those two nights became highlights of our month long trip. Guided to the freshest seafood we have ever tried and probably wouldn’t have had the guts to try without Sasa’s recommendations. On the second night he even drove us to dinner and sat down with us and we had such a wonderful chat. Sasa made our trip special and we were so inspired by his kindness and love of life.

Amazing gem near Kanazawa! We stayed here for 3 nights and wished we could stay longer! Our japanese style room was huge, the futons were very comfortable and had all the amenities that you could ask for. You can use bikes for free and cycle to watch the sunset on the beach every night. They also have an agreement with the local onsen so you can relax after a long day for free. Very near the train station with regular trains to Kanazawa. The owner was so nice and welcoming, gave us amazing recommendations for food in the area and even booked the restaurant for us. We had the best omakase and traditional Japanese dinner of the whole trip there. Would definitely stay here again!

The location was a little confusing to find. The owner showed an illustration of the neighbourhood during the check-in process, which was very helpful in understanding key locations. I feel like it would be better if the illustration is sent to visitors beforehand.

The room had a very homely and cozy feel to it, partly due to the owner's kind onboarding where he was very friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood is also very quiet and peaceful for relaxation.

Sasa is a fantastic host. Check-in was easy. The room was great and roomy. He showed us good restaurants, and after we decided to go there he even drove us there as it was raining!! He helped us at the restaurant as they only spoke Japanese. Great food and great people. We all would recommend it!

The building itself 100 years old, and even inside of the room everything is new and perfect it was little bit cold, BUT the air condition helps to warm the room. I bet it will be amazing when it’s hot.

It is -+20km from Kanazawa, 5 min from train station, but I was looking for quite place on purpose. The train ride takes about 25min and 370 ¥. Very close to the sea. Extremely welcoming stuff, free bikes, little kitchen with some free snacks and coffee.

Great stay. The place is just renovated, really clean and bright, yet it preserves that very Japanese character that is so interesting to see. The city itself feels relaxed and lovely. There is a stunning temple just across the corner from the house. Then, the owner speaks English fluently, and if time permits can show/tell a lot. Definitely recommended.

Loved the little village it is in but it is a walk and train ride to Kanazawa.

This was great as had whole villa with fire and table and chairs to ourselves but the benefit of communal kitchen and lounge as well. Nice and quiet with central courtyard.

The owner and Annie were exceptional hosts. We were stranded in another town a few kilometers away when the earthquake on New Year's 2024 hit, and they valiantly came to rescue us and drove us back to the B&B. The town is small and very picturesque. Would definitely stay again.

Cozy and clean room and common area. The shared dining and kitchen with fireplace was unexpectedly very pleasant and relaxing. The whole place was kept constantly clean. It was the most perfect and ideal bed and breakfast experience I’ve had so far.

    - The sleeping area is very cold. It's mid-winter and typical Japanese houses are much colder than European houses, this one is not an exception and I am among those who turn the heater on before going to bed. Even though the place provided extra winter blanket, I was wearing full-armor-Japanese Grandma style winter pajama and turned on the air-con in the living area, I was still cold. Could not let my face out of the blanket and regret not having brought my hot water bottle to put at the feet. But when it was not snowing anymore and the outside temperature was rising above 5, it became much more comfortable. - If you don't have a car, this one is a little far from the station. I would suggest the other one under the same brand.

I was just finding somewhere else to be away from home for a few days but it turned out to be a fabulous vacation. The place is new and clean, the mattress is very comfortable. The staff was nice. spacious room. Surrounded by many good restaurants. Also you can use the local public bath for free. Spacious parking lot is right opposite. Actually, after living in this region for many years, I just discovered that staying overnight in Mikawa is for Kanazawa sight seeing as the JR station is there, it's cheaper than downtown but not as crowded. Eating places are not as tourist trap as downtown Kanazawa. And also you help sustain the town livelihood.
