The interior of this guest house is immaculately decorated and perfectly located. It is close to the beach, and the famous French restaurant(the Sakakura) is just right next door. Couple of tourist attractions are within walking distance. Shirahama no Yado Daigo is a perfect choice for you if you’re planning a trip to Shirahama.

Can’t find a fault for the price and the amount of details and effort, so no complains.

The customer service was top notch, and regardless of the language barrier they were patient and super attentive to my needs. Breakfast was included, traditional and tasty, for the price you pay is really a steal. Shirahama as a whole is the perfect location to stay for Nachi Fall day trip as well as into Wakayama on the way back to Osaka.

The hostess (who's also the owner) was a very nice and friendly person. Breakfast was complimentary and the hostess even made breakfast by herself to guests every morning and it was delicious! The room is equipped with tatami floor and was super clean. There was no bed but instead futon was provided and you need to set it up by yourself at night which was interesting. It was a special experience to get a chance to sleep in a Japanese futon. If you don't know how to set it up they will help you too. The bathroom is big and equipments were new. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the beach. It's also close to a bus stop which takes you to surrounding sightseeing places. There are convenient store and supermarket within walking distance and you can buy fireworks there to play at the beach at night. If we come back to Shirahama in the future we will choose to stay here again.

We stayed here before the Kumano Kodo walk as we booked the accommodation late and there was nothing in Tanabe. The express bus which runs the whole route actually starts a 5 minute walk away from here in the morning so it was really handy for that. The hotel was very nice - the lady looked after our luggage while we were on the trip and even upgraded our room for free when we got back to one of the big tatame rooms on the top floor (they’re lovely!) The owner is Chinese and it seemed to be a Chinese breakfast rather than the Japanese food we’d eaten elsewhere (which made for an interesting change). Shirahama itself probably isn’t somewhere I’d rush back to but the hotel was nice and for us this was a good option.

I got upgraded for free, as there were some vacancies! Breakfast was also very good (Chinese-style food), and the host's service was very good (she helped me get a taxi to the airport as I had an early flight).

It was a pleasant stay and the owner stayed up longer as we arrived late due to our long ride to Shirahama. She is such a nice and pleasant person. She took care of us and was just lovely.

The room is big and clean, it has both western style king size bed and Japanese style Tatami. The hotel is really new and super clean. Location is right across the street to beach. The owner was really really nice and helpful. We forget to check the bus schedule and was stuck at the Adventure world. When we messaged the owner, she helped us find a car to pick us up. She was also helpful to help us find the train schedule and transfer bus for the next day. Overall, we are super impressed by both the hotel itself and the owner. Will come back and for sure will recommend to my friends.

The owner was very hospitable, super nice and kind. The place was cozy, beautiful and quiet, just steps away to the Shirahara Beach. There are are few restaurants and a big supermarket nearby. The breakfast at the hotel was delicious and was just right for the morning. The underground carpark at the property was very useful. A good value for money!

The accommodation is very beautiful and inviting. Once you step inside, you’ll be greeted warm nicely from the stuff and get your keycard to check in. You will be asked each morning when you would like to eat breakfast so they can cook you fresh meals every day. Each days breakfast is different and gives you a healthy start into the day. Besides the meal you can drink tea, juice or coffee. The room is traditionally styled with a modern shower and a little extra tea corner. As the whole hotel, the room is very clean and tidy. You will find anything you need right away. Because the accommodation is 2 minutes max away from the beach and restaurants you will have a grate stay at this place. All in all I had a very nice experience at the hotel and would recommend it highly. The stuff was very friendly and the food was every day a positive surprise and well done.

I would have liked to see more windows open in the common areas to ensure a constant flow of clean outside air.

Everything! The lady was very nice and upgraded us to bigger rooms which had a crazy amount of space. Reality was even better than the pics. Breakfast was very nice and hearty. The hotel is a few mins away from the beach and a street with several dining options.

10/10 perfect 2 days here in shirahama :) the staff is so friendly and will help you with everything! they cant speak english but will still try to do the best they can. Google Translater will help a lot :-)
