Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeStaff were not really helpful when we asked for recommendations for nearby eateries. simply pointed to the maps.
Location was good as it was reasonably close to the Hataka station. Rooms were clean and well equipped.

AustraliaDecor was a bit outdated.
The hotel is centrally located, good breakfast, clean and comfortable. It is a short walk to Dejima. The rooms were really large for Japan with good sized windows/lots of natural light.

Breakfast had the best choice during the trip so far. Location is close to Dejima historical district and restaurants, so half of the sights could be reached by foot from there

ChileThe bathroom smelled a bit humid (although it was perfect clean!). We solved it by opening the window and doing some ventilation in the room.
The hotel was located in a strategic place, that allowed us to travel easily by walking or taking buses to pretty much all Nagasaki touristic places. The staff was kind and helpful, they kept our luggage before check in, and after check out too, which allowed us to explore without any worries. The design of the room was really nice. We highlight the breakfast buffet! It had many options of Japanese dishes, which were very delicious.

AustraliaThe water drains quite slowly when you shower, so it's important to ensure that the water pressure is not at maximum output to avoid potential flooding, which can be uncomfortable for some people. Additionally, turning on both hot and cold water can result in a constant switch between hot and cold water instead of a consistent warm temperature. This issue could be due to the use of older facilities
Self-check-in with staff at the counter ready to assist if needed. The room features a standard business hotel layout with convenient storage space for luggage bags. Charging cables are provided so it's handy for those who forgot to bring them. The location is nearby Dejima town and within walking distance of Chinatown, Mount Inasa-yama, Nagasaki Station, and more attractions. The lobby also offers additional amenities such as bath powder and various brochures for local attractions, making it convenient for guests who may be unsure of where to go.

The hotel's prime location near Dejima, the seaport, and the train station makes it an ideal base for exploring key attractions such as Glover Garden, Uragami Cathedral, and Chinatown for dining options. The staff was amiable, although I didn't have the chance to utilize any facilities during my stay due to my packed itinerary from sunrise to sunset. Nevertheless, the comfortable bed ensured a restful night's sleep, leaving me eager to return for my next visit.

AustraliaI did not like the semi automated check in and check out process... there were very friendly staff in attendance but they directed one to the self serve terminals each time! Felt like I was back in Australia serving myself at a supermarket! The room was quite small. With one side of the bed permanently up against the wall and with no ample room for two suitcases our stay felt quite claustrophobic. On top of that the air-conditioner did not pump out cold air... (only heated and vent options available!) Thus, it became quite stuffy and humid in the room. We opened the window to let in some cool air but the traffic became quite noisy.
The hotel is located in an excellent position within the city centre. It is next to a tram stop on the No.1 route so getting around was excellent. Chinatown was only a short walk away as well.

SwitzerlandIt was very warm in the room, even though it was winter and the heating was off. I think the corridors are overheated.
