Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom was very spacious. Was expecting two single beds and a sofa bed, but the room had three single beds across two rooms with space for at least one more! Staff were excellent and very helpful throughout the stay, especially for sourcing tram passes and airport bus timetables. Breakfast was excellent and the views from the top of the building were spectacular.

AustraliaIt doesn't have a bar area that you can relax in after a long day's sight seeing.
Breakfast was good. Room was about the right size to accommodate our two large suitcases. Good access to public transport.

AustraliaBreakfast was disappointing with very little fruit or western style foods beyond croissants.
Great rooms and bathroom, lovely decor. Hotel in good position to see Nagasaki and get to/from Shinkansen. Excellent, small Japanese Restaurant, but disappointingly other facilities not open. No gym or other facilities.

Rooms are good size. It’s American style hotel, bed and pillows are comfortable. Hotel is quiet despite it next to a busy road and rail. Comfortable stay

United StatesA minor critique, but the hotel and room are a bit dated in design, though really well maintained and clean!
The staff was super welcoming and helpful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. A generous breakfast buffet is served on an upper floor with views of the city. The location was perfect: steps from the tram stop, an easy walk (or tram ride if you prefer) from the train station, and attached to a family mart!

AustraliaNo restaurants close by ..the hotel is in a bit of a food wasteland though it’s only a ten minute walk to the station area where there are malls etc . There is a convenience store right outside . The tram stop can only be accessed by long flights of stairs Bathroom is very old fashioned . Toilet is very low ..would be hard for tall people . Air con is weird to adjust ..have never seen anything like it .
Huge rooms for a very reasonable price . After weeks of micro rooms this was great

JapanGreat location and absolutely lovely service. The rooms had fantastic views over the city and they were a very generous size compared to typical Japanese hotels. The beds and pillows were comfortable, had good linen, nice chairs to sit down and relax in, and a separate sink and mirror outside the bathroom. So convenient. Maybe 8 mins walk from the main station, along the tram line for extra convenience. Oh, and there’s a convenience store downstairs for all your midnight snacks. Everything we could need was provided. The buffet breakfast was included with our rooms and it was 10/10- lots of options, both Japanese and western. We left our bags earlier in the day and when we went to check in, they’d taken them to our rooms already. The staff were super friendly and always helpful, and while the decor was a bit heavy and older, I can’t fault them on comfort. Excellent value for money.

SingaporeThe furniture are a bit old but well maintained. Not enough food options nearby but it’s ok because AMU plaza is just a short walk away.
The rooms are big and clean. The breakfast offerings are great. The staff are really helpful. Special thanks to Ms Kubo who helped me buy postage stamp for the postcard I wanted to mail out. Also an electric tram station (no 25) just beside the hotel. You can buy a day pass at the reception desk. Lastly, there’s a Family Mart connected to the hotel’s lobby.

JapanThere's a free shuttle to the ropeway, but when I made a reservation (must be made at least more than an hour in advance) it didn't go through? So the bus driver refused to let us on. It was very frustrating. Maybe ask for help from the front desk if you choose to do this?
AMAZING. So worth the price. We were so comfortable in every way. Bus stops and trams were very close. Staff was lovely. Definitely check out the Cafe on the first floor to eat the "Nagasaki Squares." They're amazing.

JapanThe third bed in my room is sofa bed, though it was good but a better sofa bed/ normal bed would have been great. Rather that dislike these are suggestions for making it better: I would say if they add a shuttle service to the JR Nagasaki station (the main station) it could add to the service <Very Minor>The hotel has kept some designer furniture near the elevator which are good of photgraphy session, but cushion of seats are worn out if they could repair them it would be great.
I really liked the hotel on all sort of points. And practically have no complaints. Far exceeded my expectations and i am very happy. They disnot compromise on service in name of ecofriendly/ earth friendly. They found the best balance in between the both. They even had local attarction phamphlets in my room which helped a lot for me. They had all the services a person coming out of Nagasaki would need during their stay.

CanadaWhile proximity to the train station was perfect, there is not a lot of choice for restaurants in the neighborhood… Nagasaki seems like a city built for cars. There is a food couture in the station which seemed to be the most convenient…
Great spacious room with fantastic views, the buffet breakfast was excellent… very copious with a lot of choice
