Great location steps from Beppu Station JR and close to many restos and shopping. Waterfront was a 5 min walk. The inhouse onsens were the highlight - outdoor and indoor AND private onsens for use. I didn't even use the shower in my room at all. Free washing. Loved the tatami all over the hotel. Staff was super friendly.

The staff are less patient with guests who are non japanese speaking.

Probably the only glitch is that the restaurant area cannot cater for the numbers required for breakfast. This means there are several pinch points of people trying to work around each other. The selection of food though was great!

It was good contemporary design while being respectful of traditional architecture. The position was fabulous, and the room all that I needed. Beautiful public bath house on the top floor.

The hotel seems to be very new and everything feels just right. It starts with the tatami mats on the whole hotel area which is walkable without shoes and it ends with the very nice onsen on the 13th floor. You have two big onsens and 7 private onsen baths which are "first come, first serve". But no worries, you will find a free bath quite fast. During the waiting time, you can enjoy free ice cream, massage chairs or mangas (jp only) with a great view over beppu. The hotel is worth every yen you will spend and the hot onsen water baths are the cherry on the top. Definately recommend to stay here👍.

The light sensor in the entrance and toilet is not really convenient when you need to go on the toilet in the middle of the night. As you are instead awake again. The reservation system for the private onsen needs to be tuned. Free Slots are taken away very soon, but that seems to be a Japanese thing.

The staff can be more nice at the front desk. I requested for higher floor, but I got a room on second floor.

The room is new & clean. Breakfast is nice with varieties of choices. Onsen is nice with private onsen without reservation which is very flexible. Late night ramen, ice cream and ice bars are available. excellent location which is so close to the station.

The breakfast was great- a vast choice and fabulous quality. The onsen was perfect with hot/ cold baths and a sauna etc. Free ice lollies, noodles, relaxation chair and parking is easy (though not free!)

Location is a couple of minutes' walk from Beppu Station - very convenient. The main reason to stay at this hotel is the onsen - it has a large public bath with an outdoor bath and sauna, but also has 8 private baths that can be freely used. The hotel's concept is an elegant Japanese-style hotel, so all the decoration is very traditional style - tatami mats on the floors in common areas, for example - but with the comfort of a modern hotel. The room is large, with a sitting area in addition to a desk area and the bed. If you're looking for an authentic onsen experience but prefer modern comforts and conveniences, this is a great hotel

Nothing! I loved the entire stay

The location was 2 mins walk away from beppu station. It is very new and opened in oct’23. The floor is tatami all around from the entrance to the lifts, hallway, and room. hotel wear was so comfortable too! I particularly enjoyed the private and public baths that you can use and the free ice cream/drink that’s offered. There’s a karaoke room that’s 1,000yen per hour too. Massage chair was ok there’s 3 units. Not too difficult to figure out if you use google translate camera to help you. The staff were extremely friendly and could speak English. Breakfast was 2,800yen - yes pricey but they’ve got a wide spread of buffet.

New and nice onsen Free ramen at night (22:00 to 23:00), free popsicle at night and free yakult in the morning was great! They have private onsen that is first come first serve.
