I felt very welcome, and the owner helped me a lot for my trip. I loved the interior of the Guesthouse.Its design is in the details. Koji gave me a lot of information about day trips on Kumano Kodo, also about the good Izakaya in Kii Tanabe. A place that comes with my highest recommendation!

The guesthouse is near the living area and izakaya. So, you might hear neighbors' sound during the night.

The owner was extremely knowledgeable of hiking, buses and timetables was allowed to leave main luggage stored there till return for free. The location to JR Station and buses, restaurants make the guest house perfect gor the budget traveller or person soughting knowledgeable of hikes.

The great host who provided a lot sightseeing suggestions and helpful with my next travel plan, also provide a place let me meet with Taiwan and SH travellers on during staying (nov 18). Furniture and fittings are a bit dated but are functional.

Location is great. Within walking distance to Tanabe Station and major eateries. Host was most helpful in train arrangements so that I can get me and my bike onto the train.

There's an izakaya exactly under the window so it was a bit too loud to sleep well on a Friday night but that's not the fault of the owner. Everything else was great and I'd certainly stay again!

It was my first experience in a japanese style guesthouse but I really enjoyed it! The owner explained everything when I checked in and gave me a Kumano Kodo map and the city map. The location was wonderful as it was close to the station. I really liked the futon bed and the room was well decorated. Also my rommates were absolutely lovely both nights and I really enjoyed chatting with them. It's a wonderful place to stay in when you plan to walk the Kumano kodo trail.

The place might not be suitable during summer and winter but the rest of time is OK.

Mr Koji was super helpful and friendly. The house really feels traditional Japanese with such a special feeling and atmosphere. People like to go there before Kumano Kodo pilgrimage. Location is great and there is all you need.

Since it's a traditional house, it might not be as suitable for tourists with large luggage and/or mobility issues.

The location is perfect; it is only a 5 minute walk to the Kii Tanabe station where you would have access to all kinds of transportation. The guesthouse is actually a traditional Japanese residence which has a very authentic feel. The host is kind and multilingual. It is an excellent base to explore the southern part of Wakayama Prefecture.

The host is fantastic. He was happy to receive me even long past the check-in time, asked me where I planned to go the day after and gave me directions on how to get there. The house looks straight out of a Japanese movie. Loved my short stay here!
