The room could have been a bit more spacious, it was a bit tricky to fit two big suitcases in the very small way from the door to the bed so when we were packing up we had to get in each others way. But its also not a big deal since we were there only three days. No major complaints.

Standard check in was 4pm I believe, we arrived earlier but we were allowed to leave our stuff in their storage space, and explored the city in the meantime. The room was pretty straight forward, bed for two, small refrigerator, clean bathroom. We didnt need much since we were out and about most of the time. The walls were a bit thin and we could hear the neighbors sometimes but it wasn't much of an issue during sleeping time. They also offered washing machines but we didnt need them at the time. Location is pretty good too, 30 min walk to the city center, plus there were a lot of convenience stores/ a supermarket around which made it easy for us to get food on the go. They also allowed us to leave our luggage and pick it up later, on the day of our check out.

The japanese staff was a bit…nonchalant comparing to the average japanese hotel receptionist.

Not much, but the staff are definitely not very pleasant... I felt bad every time I had to talk to the staff as they always looked displeased/annoyed.

It's very conveniently located. It's very easy to get around with the bus and has a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was on the smaller size but it was manageable with two big suitcases. The hotel has a free washing machine and the bathroom ventilation has a drying function so you can dry the clothes overnight, which was very handy.

The internet connection is awful, kept disconnecting. If you have a hob in your room, you cannot use it 🥲

Comfy beds There is option to wash your clothes for free, but you have to dry it in your bathroom, the problem is there is not enough space for it. Close to the JR station and buses

The room is very small. No shelves to put away yr shoes and limited space to hang yr jackets or clothes. It will be good if hotel could provide more hangers.

Location is walkable to few train stations & to nijo castle. Eateries is just 1 min away.Attractions are also a short bus or train ride away. There is a kyoto keihan cafe nearby which serves good dessert.

We stayed for 4 nights, receptionist informed us that we could ask for room cleaning just once, and we needed to request the service on the day before. Just one pillow per person and it was not comfortable; the bed also was not comfy in my opinion. The reception and guests kitchen share the same space; so this area it’s always smelling food; has no lobby area to enjoy. TV has only ten channels.

The shower has nice temperature and pressure; easy access to tube/train station.

The property had everything you needed, especially for backpacker the kitchen was very useful and the use of watching machine, you can get a detergent from reception The bathroom had a drying function which was great for drying the clothes after the machine

Hard to fault so I’m splitting hairs here but there was no lounge space to relax in and rooms were very small so unless you wanted to sit in the silent kitchen space at a table, you had to relax in your room. Not a super social hostel (which we like).

We really enjoyed our stay. Could run myself a lovely bath in the room! Great kitchen space downstairs with lots of pans, plates etc for making your own meals. Nice quiet location but also very close to a useful train line and subway. The bed was super comfy and we could open the windows for fresh air. Everything super clean.

Having a little bit more space in the room for storage/clothes would be nicer as it felt a bit crammed in.

The location was convenient (about 5 minutes from a JR station) and the room and hotel were clean. The free washing machine was a nice bonus.

The trash bin was very small and got easily full. Some of the laundry and drying machines were out of order.

The location was nice, close to the stations. The room and the hotel were very clean and pretty. The room was small, but perfectly fine for 4 people. Both the kitchen and bathroom were functional, clean and organized as well. Great quality ratio, it's perfectly fine to sleep, take a shower/bath and have a quick meal like ramen.
