Absolutely everything. Even before the stay, the staff was polite and very helpful with everything, even a last minute change in the number of the group. They wait for you at the entrance, they send you off when you go. The service was impeccable and the food - nothing short of an amazing experience.

It is definitely off a beaten path and familiarize yourself with the train and bus system between attempting to stay far away from the Gora station such as this site. I recommended that they have an instruction manual or map on the local train and bus system to help future travelers. I also think they should have a shuttle service picking you up and dropping you off at the Gora station. The current option is only to pick you up from the local bus station. Going from Gora station to the bus station is confusing for new travelers to the area.

The hotel and services as well as the food were all great. The in-room tub was also great size. The public bath was great. There is ample bottles of water and other drinks provided in the fridge to fulfil and they are refilled if you ask for them and the staff seem very eager to please. The manager was very helpful in helping with shuttling us to the nearby train station.

Individual room outdoor Onsen tubs should be bigger. One person can’t stretch inside it. Staff had difficulties calling taxis for the guests, which made inconvenient getting around the area.

Liked the experience overall. Carpet in main entrance and common areas of the property is VERY Old and Dirty. Not good for a Spa/Onsen hotel.

Best customer service, clean, wonderful experience. Food was excellent. Easy to purchase items such as sake and dessert cookies. Arranged for our taxis and shuttle service. Room was spacious and lovely with a wonderful view. Highly recommend.

Location is a bit remote if you are travelling by public transportation.

loved this beautiful hotel, the staff were attentive without being imposing and the mid century design was gorgeous. the strict meal times are good to be aware of beforehand - breakfast at 7.30 or 8, no other time and dinner at 5.30, which took some getting used to.

Difficult to get to as it is farther away from the train station. If you take the bus, you get off and they pick you up from the bus stop.

Got the premium suite open air. I took a gamble and spent a bit more believing I would get the bigger private bath. Worth it. I was right! This was a good deal compared to other private open air baths. Also got the breakfast and sukiyaki dinner which was delicious. The staff were very nice.

We had 45 min open air onsen and it was located right next to some kind of machine room which was so loud. We couldn’t spend more than 10 min. So loud humming sound ( I think it is a pumping machine) It wasn’t relaxing at all🥵

Excellent and attentive service. Room was impeccable and very spacious. I especially liked the leg massager. Dinner and breakfast were excellent!

We also had access to the private onsen/sauna which we booked a time slot on check in. We also had a small bath on the balcony to use. The room included both dinner and breakfast. The dinner was sukiyaki. Presented really well and tasted amazing. We opted for the Japanese style breakfast, which too was really nice. Omelets, rice and mackerel, amongst other small dishes, pickles, kimchi and tofu etc. The rooms themselves were large, the bathroom too was well equipped with Dyson appliances. There was a calf/foot massage machine in the seating area!

My husband is 6’ 3” and did not fit the private on deck Onsen at all. Also, it never quite got hot because the tub itself was very cold and took forever to warm up. Also, the deck Onsen is not actually an Onsen, just hot water open air bar that they add hot spring salts into. We drained to make hot and wish we had more bath salts to add, it was still amazing! Also they need some bigger sandals for bigger footed men.

I am 170 cm and my wife is 160 cm , we both think the room spa tab is too small , we can’t relax our legs.

We loved everything :) The location is a bit far and we didn't have a car so we went by bus and they picked us up in the nearest bus stop so it was not a problem for us. The driver was so nice! :)

The accomodation is beautiful, we loved it. The room is comfortable, large and has a beautiful view. It also had a foot massage equipment which was amazing. We relaxed so much in the private oonsen, which was large and beautiful. The food is good and tasty and the people who worked there were very lovely and welcoming. We had an amazing experience and would definetely come back!

The property is beautifully set in the woods on the hillside and is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are large and the amenities are endless. They are so organized and make you feel like you’re the only guest in the building. The meals were delicious and interactive. The driver was the sweetest and the staff overall did not miss a beat.

Exceptional staff, for every aspect of the stay. Very friendly, polite and accommodating, and the food was excellent aswell! The private onsen is great on a cold winters night! Would not hesitate to recommend.

The provided slippers could have been a bit more robust, but honestly it was nice they even had them!!

Food was very good, many new items for people from the US like us - but, it all tasted great, and there was plenty of more standard stuff. Private onsen was fantastic, and the room was extremely nice. Really appreciated the bus shuttle, and the driver was awesome. We do not usually spend a lot of money on hotels, but this felt quite worth it.

The staff went above and beyond with their service, the dinner was soo delicious sukiyaki and for breakfast we had Japanese and western options and both were phenomenal! The sunrise in the morning with the bath in the room was beautiful
