Despite its compact size, the space is thoughtfully designed, featuring a cozy seating area and a small kitchen equipped with essential appliances like an electric kettle, microwave, toaster, and induction cooker, along with a selection of useful utensils. Overall, it offers a pleasant and budget-friendly accommodation option.

It's a perfect place for travelling on your own. Because the shared space is within the same room as the bunks you have to stay out if you want to talk to the people you have travelled with. I personally really like the layouts where the beds are seperate from the social space so that you can talk to people without annoying people trying to sleep. However I appreciate that this is clearly stated on the advert that this is how this place works so i knew what I was getting myself in for

Sometimes the beds would make squeaky noises but not that loud. And because of the AC, I think I could smell alcohol from someone while I slept I think I caught a strong alcohol odor or sweat. But I get that it can't be helped since the spaces are pretty tight.

I liked that it was located at the center of Chukagai and near Yamashita Park and the Gundam Factory

1 Toilet for Men and 1 for Woman might be a bit too less? But it always was empty so it worked out!

This hostel is really good to connect with people! :) Also unavoidable because you are sleeping in one room xD It was still really cozy and calm though!! I enjoyed it a lot! And everything you need is there! I felt directly at home with the cozy light! And the staff is really nice!

The hostel is on the smaller side with only around 20 beds, some oriented parallel to the wall and others perpendicular. The parallel ones seemed far more comfy. Each bed only has a curtain for privacy, meaning sound is likely to leak if someone goes to the bathroom as the corridor is shared by everyone. The space to store luggage eventually became more cluttered as other guests brought large luggages.

I stayed in 3 different hostels during my most recent Japan trip, Chillulu was arguably my favorite of them. Built on the second floor of a cafe, it always had a pleasant aroma and was exceptionally clean and well-kempt from my bed to the shower facilities. Ryu was exceptionally friendly and introduced me to the other guests as well as gave recommendations for eateries and attractions where he was able. Along the staircase there was also a list of current events and a map of Yokohama. 5 minutes away was Yamashita Park, 15 minutes away was Osanbashi Pier, this is excellent if you are the type to take pictures of the sunrise as both provide great views of the horizon. Being in Chinatown, there are so many great eateries around. + It had a toaster which makes a majority of convenience store food taste better than a microwave.

The corridors were a little narrow

Great location in the heart of Yokohama Chinatown, easily accessible to train stations and Yokohama Motomachi Shopping Street. You can get to Yamashita park for sunrise in 10 mins if you are keen on watching the sunrise.

Checkout instructions could've been a bit more clear. Because the whole hostel is in a cramped space, there is an unsaid expectation that one should be fully departed by the checkout time whereas other hostels/hotels I've stayed in only care that you've departed the room/bed. Communication wasn't as clear on this point.

Unfortunately I found someone elses hair on my bed :( other than that: it was a good stay. With more people I see how it would get a bit cramped and maybe louder: The hostel is basically one long room on the second floor. The fridge & kitchen supplies, 2 showers & 2 toilets are separated from the sleeping and common area with a curtain. Beds make easily noise.

In the middle of everything one needs: station, food stores of china town, nice view from the promenade! Nice and helpful staff. I was lucky that there weren't many people there.

It's in the Yokohama Chinatown, one of the most attractive place to visit in the beautiful Yokohama City, with many Chinese restaurants and shops nearby to enjoy Chinese food culture. Besides, there is a great coffee shop on the 1st floor. The staff and service of the hostel are really great.

staff are super friendly and helpful with recommendations, the location is right in China town and not a far walk from the harbour, showers and toilets were clean.
