The room was big and clean, very good value for money. We didn't use breakfast and haven't time to try the onsen unfortunately. Good connection with places in the southern part of the city, like Fushimi Inari Shrine or Jonangu Shrine.

Our room was very clean, cosy and it had a super comfortable bed. There was also a public bath downstairs, free toiletries, and a laundromat. We were really pleased with the hotel. Totally recommended.

The walls around the sink & in the shower needed to be cleaned - there was toothpaste & shower gel splatter from previous occupants. The breakfast was so-so - it’s nice to have the chance to sample Japanese items, but western options were all cold. If you’re not adventurous, what you’re left with isn’t really worth the price. More clothes hanging/storage space would be helpful (only 6 hangers on very short bars).

The room was spacious enough (2 people with 2 large suitcases & a carry-on). Everything was very clean (see minor exception below) & it was quiet. It was anout a 15 minute walk to the main train/subway station. The staff were friendly & spoke English well. What you get for the price = great! We even thought about extending and making day trips to Osaka and regretted not doing it after.

Quite a large room (by Japanese standards), enough space compared to others I have stayed in. Good Japanese breakfast. They deserve the premium name. Close to the central station. Quiet neighborhood.

The very spacious room was great, and all the previous rooms on our trip to Japan were on the small side, so the spacious rooms were needed. The room was clean and modern. There were extra amenities available from the friendly staff at the front desk. The location of the hotel was close to Kyoto station and a subway station as well as some tourist destinations such as Fushimi Inari, which was only a short bike ride away on the bikes that were free to hire from the hotel. Overall, it was a great stay!

The pillows were too soft.

The staff was very friendly and helpful from the get go. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The large public bath (onsen) was a great place to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring Kyoto. The hotel is very close to the JR Kyoto station, which means we lost very little time commuting and could make the most of our stay.

This was our most spacious hotel during our trip across Japan! It was clean and comfortable, the front desk staff was very accommodating, and they have coin operated laundry which we utilized during our stay. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station, and is a short walk to a train station and a bus stop that took us to some major attractions. The breakfast was also worth it-- they have a Western style breakfast buffet as well as a traditional Japanese noodle soup station.

The hotel is very nice, nice room, good breakfast (good balance between Japanese and western style food), very nice staff. Also quite close to Kyoto Station (approx 10-15 min walk).

The hotel was perfectly clean, breakfast outstanding, service professional (no problem with english), onsen nice. Bikes free of charge as a bonus - made our stay in Kyoto very pleasant.

No water in the bedrooms or dispenser even.

The free bike rental was amazing! We spent the whole first day cycling around the city. Also the free umbrellas came in handy in the second day of torrential rain! The beds were comfortable. The shower gels etc. Were lovely quality. Very good size room for Japan. Walking distance from two train stations. Bit far from the downtown shopping part of the city.

Spacious and clean room, super comfortable bed, really well isolated from the noises of the street. The neighbourhood has not much to offer honesty, but price/quality I find really really good. Also breakfast is various and extended. Onsen of course the highlight! Every night after a day of walking was a pure pleasure!
