How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Cleaning staff could pay attention to the fan above the toilet. It was dirty. Room was very clean, though. :)

The room was spacious and clean. Staff were extremely helpful. Excellent location - very close to Toyama station & Toyota rent a car shop.

It was fully booked & unavailable for the maximum part of our Toyama stay 🤦🏻♀️
Love their rooms, service, hygiene, and the best part is their baths & showers ! Much better than any other business hotel chains . Breakfast was Japanese but very tasty ! Loved it ! Wish we got their booking for all our stay here ! Location is so convenient!

There are two Daiwa Roynet locations in Toyama. If driving, be sure to map to the Daiwa Roynet Ekimae location! Parking is in the Times garage right behind the hotel. Bring your parking ticket in and at Checkin/out they will give you a discounted price for the duration of your stay.
Just like our other stays at Daiwa properties we loved our two night stay at Daiwa Roynet Ekimae! The room is small but ok for two people but the bathroom is huge and has a deep soaking tub and rainfall shower. The location is perfect too, right across from Toyama Station/Dentetsu Toyama Station and there’s a trolley stop right out the front door. We had a great view of the Japanese Alps in the distance from our 12th floor room. You can easily walk to Kansui Park or Toyama Castle too as the city has nice wide sidewalks. We ate dinner at Toyama Rotate Sushi right next to the hotel and they have a detailed English menu. Daiwa Roynet is our favorite hotel chain in Japan - haven’t had a bad stay yet.

We booked the non-smoking room but the bathroom smelled of smoke. Not much space to walk around after lying down the luggage. It would have been better to have a smaller bathroom & more space elsewhere.
The location is great, close to the train station. The bathroom is huge. Breakfast starts at 6 am that is great for those who need to catch the early train to Tateyama to start the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route.

Elevator always stops on 2nd floor no matter, nobody ever got on or off, just automatic stopping....
Nice place, short walk to train station, restaurants in CiC building nearby or go to lower level in train station.

I booked my stay for 2 adults and 1 kid with breakfast included. At the check-in, the staff said my kid's breakfast is not included, and I need to pay an additional fee. The reason is my kid stays free of charge, so the breakfast is not included. Then I asked for my kid's pajamas, and the staff said it was not available as my kid stayed free of charge(again). Then I asked for an additional pillow for my kid, and the staff said again that it's not possible because my kid stayed free of charge. At this point, I couldn't be patient, and I raised my voice so the staff gave me an additional pillow. I don't understand when the booking option allows my kid to stay why I don't get these basic services from the hotel. When I made my booking, there was no clear condition that my kid wouldn't get her basic stuff. Along my 6 nights trip with my family in different hotels, this hotel is the only one with poor service.
Good location with a convenient store on the 1st floor.

Although we stayed in Small Twin Room, booking clearly stated it’ll be for 2 Adults and 1 Child. Only gave us 2 pillows in total and when we asked for one extra for my daughter, they told us no extra and has to be paid so we said okay and then told us there’s no more pillows at all, which we felt ridiculous for a big hotel, staffs were not the friendliest and it’s our least favourite hotel of our 3-weeks vacation in Japan. The only hotel we encountered who didn’t offer to send our luggages up the room upon check in (perhaps it was our fault for not knowing that they don’t provide this service) but still for Daiwa Roynet group hotels, disappointing!

No space in the room for moving around. There was no space between the bed and the wall which made it difficult and awkward to get in and out of bed. No room for opening the suitcase.
The bathroom was roomy and functional.
