The room was an run of the mill business hotel but what I really loved was the onsen. A great bath with outside space but most of all were the relax areas around - a nice patio area, a small manga reading area and 2 free massage chairs - all good places to relax outside of your room.

Right next to the JR station, clean and comfortable facilities including hot spring and sauna at the 11th floor! this is a nice place for a relaxed and resting stay.

-Staffs can communicate in basic English (If it is too advance, they have Japanese translator --Very nice) -Room size is good, the bed is so comfy -Buffet breakfast has a variety of food (Western, Japanese --I really recommended Japanese because they serve local food such as Izumo Soba which is very delicious) -Hotspring bath provided with both indoor and outdoor bath -Free Water, coffee from early morning to late night, plus FREE Ramen during 21:30-23:00 PM! -They have manga shelves with reading area and relax area with FREE massage chairs, if you can read Japanese or love a massage, it is a heaven! -Hotel's location is next to JR Izumo-Shi Station, only 1 minute walk :) -Reasonable price

I visited several places in Shimane and Tottori Prefectures and the Dormi Inn is perfectly located for this purpose. The hotel is located directly at the train station exit, there are lots of restaurants in the vicinity. The room was quite spacious because I had a double room for single use. The thermal spa on the top floor is superb, you can relax outside in 42°C hotspring water. You can program the TV to let you fall asleep listening to three different kinds of relaxation music, very nice.

Only three things I didn't like but this is my personal opinion. There was drawer space for items, just the basket they put the towels in; the bed was little hard for me; and the room was little stuffy at times but that's it.

Great location right beside the main train station with lots of restaurant options, convenience stores, and souvenir shops nearby. The parking was a lot beside the hotel with in and out privileges added to your room bill (1100 yen for 2 nights) and no issue finding a spot even when the hotel was busy. The points the hotel excelled at were the staff, the onsen was amazing, the breakfast was substantial for the price and excellent quality but the free items exceeded my expectations. Free probiotic yogurt drink in the morning, free popsicles in the afternoon & evening, free coffee, and the evening free ramen was excellent. My wife who is Japanese said the ramen was perfect. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel and Dormy Inn.

The presence of the female staff at the front desk was wonderful and I am very grateful. The other staff members were also taken over and everyone was kind. I'd like to write in more detail, but it's a pity that this site can't input Japanese.

Excellent location. 2 minutes walking from train station and 5 minutes walking to the car renting center. Friendly staff, and they helped to kept my languages before check-in at 10am.

If at all possible, avoid booking here for a Saturday night stay, since the room price doubles, regardless on how much availability they have or how far in advance you book the room.

The public bath and sauna was great, as well as the room size and comfort. The quality of the breakfast buffet was also pretty good. And best of all, the hotel is literally a few steps away from Izumoshi station, so it's very convenient to leave your luggage while spending your last day in Izumo, then collecting your belongings before leaving.

We stayed there on golden week so we paid more than usual. They provide a car parking but it has additional cost.

The location is great just next to Izumo station. The room is very neat and super clean. The breakfast is the best.

Did not like the pillows. Two provided and both were hard. There was some dirt on the window sill, looks like it’s been there a while.

So close to the Izumoshi Station, but I did not hear any train noise. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Train and bus connections were very easy. Access to the onsen was nice too!

it's only 2 mins walk from JR station and bus station. Super convenient. Rent a car company is also nearby. Parking lots is just beside the hotel. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Onsen area is clean and comfortable. House keeping is very good. Complimentary coffee and ramen in the evening is good. The room is spacious and open view from room window. it's very comfortable.

Breakfast was very expensive and could have more vegan/vegetarian options. The free noodles offered in the evening was a very nice touch - but these are also not vegan/vegetarian.

Perfect location, and comfortable hotel. Do recommend to anyone visiting Izumoshi. Access to trains and buses was great. We also had to stay an additional night due to a snow storm, and they were able to accommodate us in the same room without any fuss. The washing machines are also available for free use, and you can check their availability via the TV inside the room, which was very helpful.
