We had taken a bus to the hotel and were thus a bit stranded for meals. Used the prepackaged dinner the hotel sold, but these were not as nice as the rest of the hotel's features. Wish the hotel had even a small cafe. Also wish the staff were more familiar and helpful with bus schedules-- we had to plan our bus trips to Kirifuri Falls and to town center of Nikko very carefully, since there were not many buses running in early spring.

Beautiful interior decor-- loved the design and comfort of our room and public spaces. Beds and shower were great. Loved the proximity to Kirifuri Falls-- that's why we chose it.

For those without a car, may be inconvenient.

Very clean & room comfortably designed. Modern fittings. A small boutique like hotel with minimal facilities. Free coffee at lobby area was good. We were prepared for no breakfast option so it was OK. Staff helpful in recommending eateries/restaurants. As we had a car, commuting was no problem. It was a relaxing stay.

The location is a bit of a walk from town and any place to eat, so you might need to call a cab. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but they do offer a selection of pizza and other prepared food and drinks. If you are up for a bit of a downhill walk, the Cafe NikkoSaryo is quite nice for lunch.

It's a new, modern hotel a bit out of town where it's nice and quiet. Very comfortable bed with trendy bathroom layout. Best mattress on our trip so far. Room is a bit small with a king bed in it, so large luggage is a pain. Staff are beyond helpful and friendly, so I highly recommend it.

Even if it’s a nice walk in between the nature, the place it’s a little far from the attractions. But there is a bus stop by maybe 2 minutes of walk from the hotel. Would have loved to have an Onsen there, cause the place it’s amazing

The structure is amazing, it create a nice atmosphere, starting from the lobby where u can enjoy a conversation on the sitting space, there is also a big table available to eat or have a coffee at morning. They have coffee tea and miso soup available for free. The staff was amazing, always available to help, even if u are not approaching them, there is lot of attention costumers related. Rooms are very spacious, with a nice design e comfort. I would love to go back

I had a car, but if you don't, town is a 25-minute walk. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but they do sell some basics like noodles and pizza. Busses pass by, so it may be workable.

The hotel is comfortable and good value. The staff were especially helpful.

No restaurant or any amenities on site, with no options for breakfast nearby as it’s a bit remote from the village. Taxis are needed to move around but the staff are very helpful and book them for the guests. Ideal if you have a car (but we didn’t)

New hotel with nice design, comfortable rooms and nice break out/lounge area with free drinks. Very helpful staff

The description of property is accurate. Re Nikko - if going out for something to eat - go early as restaurants and taxis seem to close early.

The hotel is excellent - so new and comfortable. You just sink into the bed! No breakfast facilities etc but there is a small kitchen for heating food if want to bring pizzas etc back up from town. It is up hill - so a good 30-40min walk mainly uphill. We found out the hard way with Ruck sacks! Get a taxi at around 1500 yen…. An easy walk down to town! Staff were fabulous - so helpful.

I wish if they have more towel hungers. I don't ask changing bath towels every day.

Staff was very nice. They took care of our request very seriously and were so helpful. We liked their smile very well. The entrance area was nice, spacious and well-designed.

The location was a bit far on foot from the train station, so getting there after buses shut down requires a taxi.

The rooms were great, especially for the price, I loved the aesthetic of the place and the hotel in general. The front desk staff, Chen, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and gave me many tips around the area as well as having a lovely conversation as I was doing my laundry. I would absolutely love to come back because of this.

A chic stay in the middle of nowhere in Nikko

For this price, and given that there are no restaurants/stores around, breakfast should be available and included. My room was on the first floor and in the evenings the entire hallway smelled of food prepared in a nearby lounge (mainly burnt pizza); the smell was also getting into rooms.

The hotel is beautiful - looks and feels new, modern, great design, spacious rooms. Beds are big and comfortable. There was an electric kettle and a fridge in the room as well as mugs/beverages. The hotel has a small store to buy basic products, including food, there is also a microwave for guests' use. The lounge is where you can meet other guests and chat a bit, a lovely space.

Loved this hotel!! Wonderful Atmosphere! The hotel is surrounded by mountains and is in close proximity by car to the touristic sites in Nikko. Room was excellent, very new, clean and specious! Customer's service is very good and you have complementary coffee and Tea 24 hours. Will definitely come back!

No kitchen no resturant, so there are only slot machines to get food or use some app to deliver.

Small quiet hotel, with very good bed. Slept well and had a nice stay. Possible to order breakfast but you have to order it at least 2 days before check in - breakfast what was served was very good Japanese style. Free coffee and tea.

Quiet as a pin, comfy bed = best night sleep I've had in Japan. We drove there so the out of the way location wasn't a factor. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely courteous, determined to help in every way. Nice lounge area, and good sized room. Would stay here again. They had umbrellas to use to get our car from parking lot when it was pouring out.
