Wifi was unavailable and I have an urgent video call during our stay. Staff in the reception area were most of the time busy and not around. We were not accustomed with public bath I hope you can consider private bath for foreigners.

I like most was the location because of the Mt.Fuji view, near lake and park.

The soaps and tissues were not refilled. Onsen not that hot. Some lights were blinking. Some areas were very dark at night. We need to go to a separate building just to take a bath. The kettles were not cleaned and placed on the dirty corner.

Near the sightseeing spots. You can see Mt. Fuji

The wifi wasn’t working properly and I had an important call to make. The staff member was really helpful and let me use her personal hotspot.

Waking up to see the view of Fuji without leaving bed was amazing!!! Loved the mini onsen/bath. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I cannot read or write Japanese. On Booking.com website, the Hotel name and location was in Japanese... We reached the town bus station at 6:30 pm... The tourist office was closed, no could guide us to find the hotel for long...Telephone attendant at hotel could not speak English and could not tell us the directions to hotel.. Reached at 8:30 pm and there was no one at the reception. Only keys were kept...felt a bit bizarre on the hospitality aspect.

Good location...peaceful...quiet and serene. beautiful rooms...good common bath area

Onsen and showers only available between 6pm and 9am.

Less than 30 minute walk to train station with shops and restaurants within 15 minutes. Great value and more traditional feel. Very generous room size.

We could take a Green Bus to reaching hotel and take a little walk. The location is so good especially the view from balcony. We could see the Fuji from the room. The room has a separate space between living area and bedroom.

The tatami mats were too thin and hard to sleep on. The room was cold especially when sleeping on the floor near the windows. Breakfast was strange as we were brought heated bento boxes mainly consisting of rice and some overcooked watery vegetables.

Interesting communal bath experience, helpful staff

The location is a bit far from the station, about a 30 minute walk. Very little public transport near the hotel. Takes nearly 15 mins on foot to get to lake kawaguchiko. The window is a traditional Japanese design, which meant it didn't block the light and the room was completely bright right at sunrise.

The view is as wonderful as it is in the photos. The room is large and comfortable. We enjoyed the tea that was provided in the room, and loved using the provided yukata for the warm bath. Walking distance to the lake.

There was hardly anyone available at Reception when needed. We were asked to check out at 10 am but couldn't speak to anyone regarding a requirement we had. Public washrooms open at 9 am so if anyone wants to start their tour early morning, they can't shower.

Clean and very specious rooms with view of Mount Fuji.

Beautiful mt. Fuji view, some cables can be seen, but cables are everywhere in Kawakuchiko Town. Extremely large room, family or friends can enjoy your time together. Nice and helpful front desk staff, can easily communicate in 3 languages. They provided map for food around.

There is toilet in the room, which is ok, however the bathroom is in another building, and it is open sharing, we were only allowed to use during certain times. There’s no elevator as well, so it’s a bit hustle to carry big luggages as room with fuji view is in 3rd floor.

Very nice Japanese ryokan room with tatami. The room also has a big space. Would be very nice in clear weather as you can see mt fuji straight from the window. Sadly when we were there fuji was not visible at all because it was snowing through the days. Location wise it is near lake kawaguchiko, however it is not very convenient if you don’t come with car, as it is a bit far from station. If you come by car there is free parking. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was nice too! We got bento served in our room.

Internet connection was not the best, and it was really cold in the halls of the hotel. If we leave the room we were requested to turn off heating but when returning back, the room would also be very cold. It is far from the station, so I don't recommend it without a car as busses are not reliable.

Spacious room with wonderful view of mount Fuji. Staff was friendly!

It was extremely cold, rather too spartan, and much further from the station than the website implied. Instructions on getting the heater going in the room could be a lot clearer, especially when it was -4C outside! No breakfast unless you ordered 3 days in advance. It did not seem good value for the price asked.

It was simple and clean, with a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji.

Moving our suitcase to second floor is very hard. We are not young travelers and it hurts our back as no staff helping us to move the suitcase. The elevator for suitcase also do not work (probably broken). Also, the electricity in the room is turned off while we are trying to make a hot water. We cannot call the staff as there are nobody works in the property before 8AM.

This is a traditional ryokan located in the kawaguchiko. If you want to try a traditional ryokan with reasonable price, I suggest to book this place.
