Very tranquil experience

Bathroom area is fine but living room and bedroom are full of dusts in air. Common areas are clean but small details are full of dusts. For example, water knob unexposed area. When you turn off, it looks clean but dirty when you turn on water. In wardrobe, the henge is full of dusts deposits. I got eye irritation 5 minutes walked into my room. The quality of cleanness had been degraded since my last visit. Small areas are not clean.

No view from the window and couldn’t open the window which was a pity.

Hotel was well designed, rooms were comfortable, and the Onsen in the room was a luxury. The food was delicious and beautifully served.

They were too strict with timing . I understand that is a cultural thing but in a place made for relaxation there is no need to call me if I am missing my breakfast 😅😅 then they want to know the exact hour for cleaning and I just wanted to chill out :-) but I appreciate their efforts to make my stay perfect. Then , the fact that the room didn’t have window makes the private onsen a little claustrophobic, in the one I stayed in naoshima (same company) it was possible to open and was a game changer.

The building and the facilities are great . Elegant, with a nice balance between tradition and modernity . The stuff was more than kind and they made us feel at home . The Japanese garden and the bar there are a plus . The breakfast (traditional) and dinner are amazing ! made with love and great ingredients . The kimonos they gave us to walk though the hotel were cute and comfy :)

The private onsen was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were super friendly, and while we couldn’t speak Japanese, they used English to help us with everything.

Only drawback was the location which was a little far from major sites. However, the staff called taxis for you, which made it super convenient!

Property was very clean and luxurious! Loved the private Onsen in the room and the room came with plenty of snacks and drinks. Service was also top tier and the breakfast served was absolutely delicious.

Because it was a smaller hotel, the bar was not really open during the time advertised.

The hotel is simply beautiful. Loved the quieter location. Close to the forge where all the cherry blossoms are located. Pretty close to a metro station. I thought it was very walkable to the eastside of town. The room was probably the best. I loved the built in kettle for tea and the onsen. Very comfortable room and excellent hotel. Definitely a fan of Fufu.

Everything was perfect.

Every single detail, both in design, comfort, and service, is taken care of. The personel is very professional, the whole setting is exquisite, the rooms lush with comfort and detail, capturing the essence of Japanese traditions of hosting. The meals are refined, delicious, service impeccable, and the views on the Japanese garden fantastic.

If you cannot offer view of garden for meals would recommend in room dining is a better experience. and the screens preventing guests from talking to each other seemed less good when there was no view of the garden.

Breakfast was excellent in taste every day. the in room onsen was perfect. The hair comb provided was nice. The set up of breakfast in room was excellent.

It seems like there was not enough staff. Thus, it made us feel hustled from check in, dining and check out. No explanation during dining as it should be. We didn’t know what we eat. Some food sequence was switched. We felt the in the kitchen must be too busy too. Even during buying hotel’s souvenirs, only 1 staff taking care of shopping and checking out. Also, we are not the only guest during that check out time. We didn’t feel relaxed as we deserved. The rush staff made us feel uncomfortable. If there were a little more staff, everything will be perfect.

Perfectly located in a quiet neighbourhood and only a 7mins walk to Kyoto Kyocera Museum. Staffs are energetic, friendly and always eager to help. Calm and tasteful interior, woody scent, quiet, beautiful outdoor garden. Lovely spacious room with open bath, comfortable bed, relaxing atmosphere, fun teaware to play with. Breakfast was beautiful and plentiful. Kaiseki dinner of the inhouse restaurant was also delicious and well presented.

The staff is not so good at speaking English, so it was a bit challenging to communicate our needs from time to time.

The interior design of the room is great. We love the private bath so much and the bed was comfortable. The room is super cozy. The location of the hotel is quiet with a bit distance from the city center. The breakfast and the food from room service is tasty with really good quality.

A relaxing place, enjoyed the room. Amenities were well provided. Complimentary beverages and snacks available in the room. Private hot spring bath in the room is great. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staffs were helpful

Very tranquil environment. Very clean and nice ambience. Staff were helpful. The in-room spa is perfect. Very satisfied with the traditional Japnese dinner and breakfast.
