Truly memorable experience. Understated but incredibly classy with an unforgettable private onsen.

I wouldn't change a thing, and I have no complaints.

Incredible experience from start to finish. I only stayed one night, but I felt immediately at home and could not have been happier. The private, in-room onsen was the highlight of the room without question. Such a wonderful way to unwind and I spent hours in there. They keep the onsen very hot, hotter than most I've been to, but it's easy to add cold water to cool it down and if you go too far, a call to the front desk will have hot water piping back in. I enjoyed soaking while watching the snow fall through the open window - and was very comfortable! The room was extremely spacious with sliding partitions for each area, so if traveling with a partner or family, it would be easy to create privacy when needed. In-room amenities were great. Nice lotions, soaps, etc. Lighting in the room was very nice - I believe about 6 different settings you can choose from to create the mood you're looking for. The meals were absolutely top notch and unforgettable, both the dinner and breakfast. I can't say enough good things but the food surpassed all my expectations. Simply lovely. Checking in and out was very smooth and simple. It was easy to catch a taxi from directly outside Tobu Nikko station and when it was time to leave, the staff called a taxi for me.

    Nothing. Everything was wonderful!

Everything was superb. If I have to point out my favourite thing about Fufu Nikko is their food. It was simply AMAZING! The dinner and breakfast was wow! It felt like I was dining in a Michelin-star restaurant. Also I was surprised how Kid-friendly this place is. I first assumed it was mainly for honeymooning couple, but my kid was provided a children toilletries, clothes, slippers, beautiful fancy glass-looking plastic cups (which I wished I could purchase) and their kids meal was omg, better than restaurant food. I loved every single minute I spent here. The room was spacious with private bath, the lounge had delicious free flow drinks in the late afternoon, they have Onsen with ice creams and beer provided to be consumed after bath. It was simply unforgettable. A small but luxurious resort indeed. Thank you for having us.

Nothing. It was a perfect stay.

Absolutely beautiful small property, feels intimate and Japanese (not anonymous). We stayed in the luxury corner suite and it was gorgeous. The in-room onsen was huge and such a wonderful treat to soak in. Views out to the greenery were cleverly framed. The lounge area was cosy and comfortable, with complimentary drinks offered in the afternoon. The real icing on the cake was the quality of the meals. Every single meal, even the breakfasts, were exquisite and delicious and deserving of awards themselves. It was akin to staying in a luxurious boutique hotel with a Michelin star kaiseki restaurant at your doorstep.
