The bathroom facilities were very tight and the Futon a little to thin and uncomfortable. We have stayed at other facilities that have more comfortable Futon bedding.

The main reason we chose this hotel was for the view of Mt Fuji, that was just magnificent. The bonus was the Onsen, the best one we experienced in Japan. The pushbike hire was another bonus find that we used to cycle around the lake, an activity which was greatly worth the effort.

Think the counter service can give better advise as I think they may have some language issue and they cannot really give good advise on sightseeing.

The view of Mt Fuji was exceptional (clear day), we were able to rent bikes from the hotel and go on a ride around the area (great experience), Privated had indoor and outdoor baths, which was pretty nice.

Hotel a bit difficult to get to at night except with taxi. Taxi costs around 1,500JPY from Kawaguchiko Station.

Staff were very friendly, explained everything and tried to converse in English at first. Room was clean and set up nicely for us.

The shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station was great. I enjoyed my stay there. I rented a bicycle from the hotel and rode around the lake in the early morning. It was lovely.

The only thing I could say regarding the stay is the hotel is not close by to a local shop .

I can honestly say we have the best view of Fuji! The hotels grounds are absolutely stunning and I would stay here again.

We should have booked sooner for a room with Mount Fuji view but that was our own fault. The view of the garden and lake was nice though.

Lovely hotel with great view of Mount Fuji. They have a shuttlebus from and to the station Kawaguchiko. Diner was pricey but go for the Japanese meal it is worth it! Other meals we ate elsewhere at the station.

I wish there was an option for private onsen rental. The location is also a bit far from the main part of town, so it would have been nice to have more shuttle bus options in the evening. The last shuttle back is around 645 pm meaning you would have to take a taxi back to the hotel if you wanted to have dinner and go out in the evening.

The observation decks are perfect for viewing Mt. Fuji, the garden and lake. Nice and big rooms with comfortable beds. Staff is friendly. We found a good selection of souvenirs and gifts at the gift shop.

Didn’t have much food available or restaurant nearby wasn’t convenient when first arrived, we were hungry we had wait for free shuttle bus had wait another 30 mins head back to Kawaguchiko Station were many restaurants available but had to wait for another 45 min back to our hotel.

The Mount Fuji view from our hotel was so beautiful and service was great.

The bathroom really could do with a refurbish as it feels really outdated, but it's nothing to dislike really.

Our room was relatively basic as we booked relatively late amidst the rush for hanami but the nonetheless the backyard forest and lake view was still beautiful, and from the lobby area we still had full view of Fuji-san behind the garden.

Apart from the (for us) high price, nothing was negative, it was all great.

This was a luxurious hotel to us, quite expensive but well worth it. Included was a free shuttle bus from the station, about fifteen minutes away, the hotel is in a quiet leafy location. The room was very large, especially for Japan, the bed was very comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. The view could hardly have been better, snow capped Mount Fuji towering above the fabulous hotel gardens. Buffet breakfast was included and the choice was vast, both Japanese and western options galore, all lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Excellent breakfast. The view of fujisan was astounding and the gardens were especially beautiful with the koi fish pond and spring blossoms. The tourist shop was well stocked with affordable items and the lady attendant was especially nice. We loved wearing our yukata around the hotel and sitting in the panorama room.

The tatami room was great except the mattress. It was thin foam and very uncomfortable. Thankfully we only stayed one night. Everything else was faultless.

Incredible location and viewing spaces. Service and food were excellent. Everything was clean and orderly despite being an older property. Loved the onsen and patches were provided to cover our tattoos

Nothing, some people might say it's not as modern as it could be but for us we went for the views and it just added to the charm - we had absolutely everything we needed!

Excellent views of Mount Fuji, good views from the 6th floor and breakfast room. We had a garden view room which had a beautiful view of Lake Kawaguchi. We also had a delicious Kaiseki dinner and good breakfast selection, really recommend the omelette, made with care and absolutely delicious! All staff (reception, dinner, shuttle bus) were very friendly
