How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The breakfast provided was not the best. If you managed to get food that just came out of the kitchen, it was good; however, there was no proper heating elements to keep the food hot in the buffet. This caused the food to cool very quickly and most of the food I received was already cold from sitting out for too long.
It’s a great place to lay your head. Close to the Shinkansen station, easily walking distance. Staff was friendly and the facilities were well kept and clean.

Room is small but enough for one person of stay. The fridge in the room is not very cold, but there is a shared fridge to use in the lobby. When I first entered the room, spotted a long hair near the pillow which disappointed me.
This hotel is only 10 minutes of walk from jr station. Reception can speak basic english.Good variety of food as breakfast. The lobby with free drinks the whole day. Free bike for rental. Wifi connection is fast and stable.

The room had no window and only a curtain over the bathroom.
Only a 10 minute walk from Mishima station with a very nice reception area which had complementary breakfast, snacks and drinks.

Gee Haive is a super nice hotel with private rooms. Ideal to recharge after spending a day around Fuji. The included breakfast was very good and the common area is nice to be in. I spent 3 nights here after coming from Tokyo, so it was nice to be in a slower paced area. Would definitely recommend it if you don’t mind traveling from Mishima to different tourist attractions

Room is quite small for 3 people. Can improve the cleaniness of the room. (They only clean the room once a week I believe).
Breakfast (of great variety!) is provided for free from 7:30am to 9am. Amenities (toothbrush, one-time slipper, razor and etc.) are provided. Not too far from Mishima Station (about 8 min walk). There is a convenience store at the cross road. The hotel is quiet.

The breakfast selection was very limited.
Nice, well lit location. Nice comfortable facilities. Free bike rental for 5 hours was so lovely.

The shared bathroom/shower room was a little dirty. Even tho the rest of the hotel was clean.
The hotel was surprisingly nice. The location was good, a 5min walk to the station and a convenient store right around the corner. The room was clean and we had our own toilet and 2 sinks, which was very convenient. The breakfast buffet was really nice! And the staff was super helpful. He searched for the bus we needed to take the other day and even printed the information for us, thanks again!

Nothing.
Clean with all basic amenities. Close to the station and convenience store. I have my own toilet and washing area inside the room but it was arranged very well it did not feel crowded and small.

It was a surprise to know the style of toilet space, but overall very good. The shower facilities are not in the individual rooms but shared; they are very nice, privacy was secured and I did not find anything difficult . Not luxurious, but practical though the hotel shows us that the economy with practicality can go well with hospitality and pleasantness.

Everything was nice except the mattress of the bed, you could feel the bed frame grid.
Great breakfast offerings and drinks for free! Location very near to the station and the city park. rental bicycles could be rented for free at the hotel but are super tiny and thus hard to drive for any person that is above 150cm body height.

Although, I do believe it is a great value for what you are getting, they lost points on the sleeping aspect. The single thin mattress on the bed is not thick enough, they need to double that up! The pillows? So thick and hard not humanity possible to sleep on them!
Breakfast was included although, I don't eat breakfast, it was nice to be able to go and get some coffee! It is located very close to the station making that a convenient little perk!

The room’s decoration is a bit old fashioned and therefore kind of dark and poorly lit at night. Just one towel per guest. Breakfast can’t be booked at the front desk

The wall is pretty thin so you will hear some noise from time to time.

The room was “non smokers” but i could tell someone had smoked in there before ora person who smokes had slept in there. Some hooks in the rooms would be useful

Most staff had trouble speaking English (still tried their best and used translator apps).
Small and western breakfast. Not much but still the best from all the hotels I visited on my trip. Nice room keys and clean room. Clean shared bathroom. Mishima bus station offers a shuttle to Fuji (2h).
