It was not as clean as we hoped it would be, no human interaction and few staff members that are present are not able to recommend anything or maintain basic conversation in English.

It's a fantastic place, it's mostly self service to let yourself into the hotel and all amenities are available at the reception. The hotel is well maintained and clean. It's only one station away from the main Kyoto station where the Shinkansen arrives from Tokyo, so the location is great. There's a ministop just outside the hotel as well so no issues convenience wise.

Such a late check in time, made me pay a tax fee when I got there which I wasn’t aware of and also thought it was 11am check out not 10am but then had to pay for it. The bed wasn’t that comfortable and the bathroom was very small.

The location isn't the best(it's close to the station but not to the temples and it takes a while to reach nishiki market)and the check out was a bit confusing.

The beds could be a little softer. But we're clean. No room cleaning for the three nights we stayed.

No staff available. Friendly woman checked us in (coincidence?) but that was the only time in 5 days we saw someone. Otherwise self checkin is also available if no staff is at the counter. Got a fishing scam in my private booking.com app.(!) Messaged me in the app o ne day prior to booked date to recheck my creditcard details, or the booking could get cancelled.. Knew my name, dates we stayed, everything. Send me a mail as well. When i read the (phishing) mail i could choose to contact booking.com in the mail. i did and they (the fishermen, not booking.com apparently) couldnt handle my questions why i needed to recheck my creditcard number. So i didnt and nothing bad happened. BUT BOOKING.COM ITSELF I COULDNT REACH IN ANY WAY!!! Wanted to report this issue to booking.com, BUT COULDN'T CONTACT THEM IN ANY WAY, ALTHOUGH THEY EVEN HAVE A SPECIAL PAGE ABOUT SCAMS SAYING YOU NEED TO REPORT AND CAN GET HELP. NOT!!! VERY BAD THING!!!!

Price and location was good. Small but clean room with a good bed. Read about people dont have towels, but every morning when we went out (stayed 5 nights) we could take as many as we would, at night they where gone indeed.

The room has no full length mirror, kinda inconvenient if your a girl who likes to check your outfit before going out 😂. Some area in my room wasn’t also completely cleaned, unfortunately those would be normally unnoticed, but since im petite i get to easily see hidden corners with my height.

Location is near bus & train station, the area is also quite with a nearby convenient store. And the hotel is small, so you won’t expect a lot of guest and doesn’t get crowded at the lobby.

Nothing to not like!

Good location, quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to Gion (less than 30mins). Compact room but clean and efficient, nice to have new slippers and a fridge too. Check in was via a machine but could change the language to English and was easy enough to use.

The area the hotel is located in is pretty empty. We had problems finding restaurants or breakfast.

Nice room with good shower, overall pretty standard hotel experience. Automated check-in with a machine.

We found a suitcase and a plastic bottle from the previous people under the bed. I wanted to do a laundry and couldn't do it. There is no money change machine and only accepts 100 yes and does not return change.
