I reserved this place as this was the only available lodging during golden week. A bit of a walk from the nearest station (20-25min). The check in time is from 15:30 and there is no one before that time. So be careful as it is a bit different than other hotels or hotels.

Great location for hiking the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage! The innkeeper kindly gave me and another pilgrim a ride to Temple 11 the next morning.

The driveway was quite steep so I scraped my car on the way out, plus parking was a little difficult in the narrow space, but it's still such a good deal to have free onsite parking.

The common area was really cosy and had loads of maps and information about things to do in the area, plus free coffee! There's also a Ministop convenience store about 1 minute walk away which is really handy. I arrived around 9pm after some traffic delays and the host was really gracious.

Things have inconvenient places. I don't think the owner has ever tried to sleep here himself. No place to wash dishes, brushing teeth in public space, dressingmirror in public space. But other than that, it does the job. Not recommended for long stays

I stayed during a henro and the staff were very informative and friendly. The facility was kept very clean and the other guests were very kind as well.

Friendly and super helpful hosts. The place was fully updated and very clean, it has everything I need. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to know them and stay here. I would highly recommend and will stay here again when I return for my pilgrimage next time.

There is only ONE shower in the whole property - for 12 people in the dormitories and 1 or 2 private rooms too. I was waiting for a very long time every night before I could use it. It also can only be used in a limited time, so if you miss your chance then I’m not sure what you can do about it! Also only 1 toilet and sink for men and same for women. It’s a 15 minute walk to the nearest train station and the trains only run once every ~75 minutes irregularly to Tokushima station, and the trains take a long time to get in. The blinds acting as a privacy screen on the bunks are very loud when being opened/closed, so it was impossible to sleep when others were moving theirs, even with earplugs in. The walls are also very thin and we could hear everyone in the next room talking clearly.

It was very clean and modern.

I didn't see any towels, I think maybe that is normal for guest house type accommodations though.

Friendly owner and staff. Very clean and quiet place to stay near Tokushima. Lots of parking including covered parking.
