The building seems old, which gives it a lot of character, but it can be a bit unpleasant noisewise.

It was a bit old and the floors creaked. I could also hear pretty much every breath of the people in the same room. But that wasn't a problem for me though (but it can be for light sleepers!).

Very sweet and helpful owner. She's really genuine and sweet. The property was great, with a nice spacious bed. Lovely atmosphere too in the center and close to the station.

Some of the communal areas are quite dusty. Slippers provided are all huge which makes it difficult to walk around quietly! I was woken up by someone thundering in between 2am and 4am slamming doors three nights in a row, even though I wore earplugs. Perhaps some cutlery in addition to chopsticks could be made available for guests. Otherwise great, keep up the good work :)

Cute shabby chic/vintage style building, well located for shops, restaurants and cafes. About 15 minutes walk to Shizuoka station. The facilities are good and it's well organised for a comfortable stay. Clean comfortable cubicles. The lady who checked me in was very sweet and friendly. Lovely communal kitchen/dining/workspace with a fridge, kettle, microwave and sink. Very good coffee!

The staff were very helpful, letting me store my camping gear downstairs rather than lugging it all up to the dorm. The location is perfect. There are really good cafes, bars, restaurants in the same street.

We fell in love with the space and the cosy atmosphere from the beginning to the end of our stay in Shizuoka. The host was friendly and helpful and the service was very professional. We loved the breakfast and the location was top. We also enjoyed being able to rent bicycles to travel around the city.

The locality and the interior of this guesthouse is amazing! I totally recommend buying breakfast there as well, it was very yummy. When we wanted the check in after 8pm, the nice personnel was kind and we found a solution. I therefore recommend it and I would stay there for sure again :) Thank you!

One of the best place i’ve stayed in so far, the lady who runs it is so nice, everything is sparkling clean and it is walking distance to the station. Beds were comfy, the food in the cafe is delicious. The interior design was cute!

There were REALLY noisy guests-jumping from the upper bunk, slamming doors and walking heavily. It's an old house so it has wooden floors which don't exactly muffle noise, so I couldn't sleep well for 3/4 nights I was there. The room also smelled funky from the BO and old smell of the house, it would be nice if the rooms have an exhaust fan or something to help with that... I had a great stay overall and would love to stay again!

The location is superb. It's near a lot of restuarants and shops. The futon was surprisingly comfortable. The toilets and showers were always clean during my whole stay- kudos to the staff! I stayed for 4 mights btw. The guesthouse' cafe's toast set is really good.
