Great location just a few minutes from the station. I was only able to stay one night, but the nice atmosphere left me wanting to come back for a longer stay when I have the chance.

The room’s digital key’s mechanism is noisy AND when someone went to the bathroom in the night and did not shut the door properly, it started ringing loudly until the passcode was entered again. I had to specify a time for my check in even though it would be in the specified check in window. The sink area don’t have counters or anywhere to put your few things while you’re brushing your teeth or washing your face. Also, careful with the lights in the lower bunk bed, I saw mine had been too close to the ”roof”and had started to burn the wood. That could be dangerous.

It is close to the station. The bed was confortable. There was a small kitchen and washer/dryer. There seemed to have a lot of extra little things you could need while traveling.

We have 5 people, we stayed in the 4-bed family room upstair plus a bed in the 4-person dorm room. The stair up the 4-bed room is quite steep and narrow and also slippery, kind of hard to walk down for older people, especially when you wear room slippers. Also, feel like the adminstration and security of the hostel is a bit lax. I picked a bed in the dorm room when I check in, and the staff acknowledged that. I didn't put anything on the bed. But when I go back the room late at night, someone else was already sleeping on the bed I picked. I then just slept on another bed. No problem happen afterwards though. But the lax administration may be because Kanazawa is a small town and the neighborhood feels safe. The shower place of the the 4-bed family room is a bit small, but the common shower place downstair is perfect.

Very convenient location, only 10-min walk from Kanazawa Station, where you can find grocery, department stores, restaurants etc. The neighbouhood also has some good restaurants. The neighbourhood is quiet and also convenient, close to lots of local bus stops, looks pretty when it snows. Atmosphere of this hostel is very warm and welcoming. Staff and other residents have been very nice to us. A snow storm hit Japan during our stay leading to JR suspension, other residents in the hostel help us to check the train status and stuff. All facilities including shower, kitchen and common area are OK, not luxurious but clean and functional.

The location is fabulous, about a 5 minute walk from the train station and just around the corner from bus stops. Our room was right next to the showers and toilets, which was handy, and there was a well stocked communal area to help yourself to drinks, etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. The futons were very comfortable and we all had a great night's sleep (except for the earthquake at 5.30am! :-D) Would absolutely stay here again. Definitely value for money.

All is well; there's this fancy shower head in the shower which will be absolutely fantastic if the holder is positioned correctly.

The ease of communication and finding the place. Even creating the possibility of storing our luggages before checking in at 4pm. It's almost like your home away from home; really glad the use of kitchen.

The host was super enthusiastic. The guest house was clean and very easy to find. Good value for money. They seem to attract good guests. The only downside is the steep staircase.

The staff most likely isn't here from around lunchtime until 4 pm. That also means that you cannot check in early. But the biggest downside for me is that they'll rush through the hostel in the morning to have everything clean as quickly as possible. So forget about sleeping in or having some quiet in the morning. They will wake you up no matter if you're checking out on that day or not. It shouldn't bother you if you're a morning person, but I'm not.

The hostel is perfectly located between Kanazawa station and its main touristic spots. Everything in town will therefore be walkable for you if you're staying here. It's also a very social place, so you're likely to meet other people. Needless to say, that is very special in Japan. The staff is very friendly, too. The place provides you with a towel and not only has a water dispenser but even a machine which serves you various soft drinks. Everything's clean and you'll feel like home. There are lots of games on the shelf and a guitar in the corner. A well-equipped kitchen and laundry options exist. Has a balcony to hang your clothes if so desired.
