We had a private room for ourselves and it fit 3 people comfortably. The staff were super friendly and we felt welcome from the moment we stepped in. There was also a feet & soles massage machine which was a life saver because my feet were beginning to cramp up during our last week in Japan. The location was just next to a subway station and it was easy to travel around Kyoto from there

Nothing - only downside is that there is no laundry in the hostel, and you'll have to travel out to a nearby laundromat for travellers. However, its just a short 7min walk away.

Located in Shijo and it is near to various Kyoto attractions. Very easy to get around and just a few min walk to a couple of subways :) The room was spacious for the 4 of us girls, and loved the cleanliness of the entire place, including the toilet. ( ps, Really appreciate the small towels in the toilet). There's also a leg massage, snacks and drinks in the common area. You may also tune in to watch Netflix either in the common area or in your room! Overall was an enjoyable hostel experience. The host was also really friendly and kind, able to speak basic English and Mandarin as well.

Everything went beyond my expectations. Other than the great facilities and location, the owner and staff are super friendly and enthusiastic. I felt really comfortable and safe living there. If I get a chance to come back to Kyoto, this place will definitely be my first choice.

I have always hated using the stairs especially when I have luggages. Though there’s only a second floor so it is still bearable and the staffs are really helpful. The room is quite small and it’s a struggle to open the suitcase but aside from that, everything is good.

The location is good. Near the shopping center and stations. There’s also a 7/11 nearby. The shared bathroom is always clean and has available amenities for use. There’s also food stalls and restaurants which are all walking distance. I also live that they have a massager in the common room which I used especially after a long walk.

Unbeatable location in the downtown area, but on a quiet street. Had a wonderful time meeting other solo traveller ladies who were all so kind and considerate and friendly. Felt like I was coming home each day, and was sad to leave! There was even a foot massage machine which was such a treat each day.

One of the cosiest accommodations I have ever stayed in. The bed was so inviting and the staff were very friendly. Super close to everything you need! The share space was beautiful to use during wet days for watching YouTube and enjoying the heater and snacks!

The guesthouse is at a good, central location and its easy to walk to different temples (Kiyomizu ect) and also close to the market snd stations. The staff was really friendly and rooms very clean and comfortable. They had free snacks and warm drinks available. Even shared bathroom was very clean and there was no line to use it. Very comfortable and affordable pricing.

I chose this guesthouse because it says woman only and it's located in the heart of popular place I love in Kyoto which is Nishiki Market. The guesthouse has everything I need, neat and tidy, comfort bed, clean shower, and nice staff. And the best facility I've got from the guesthouse is..foot massager!

Lovely guesthouse for women, you will feel like at home. The girls working there are super nice. Very near to shopping district and Gion. The feet massage machine is a big plus, after long walks around Kyoto. It would have been nice to have washing machines. But in 10 minutes you can reach a good laundromat.

- Friendly staff: everyone is very nice! The staff would explain to you all the instructions of your stay and help you as much as possible. They even made a customised key chain for you if you want your bed sheet to be changed. On the day of checkout, you can leave your luggage there and they would offer you for a rest in the living room when you return back to take your luggage. - Installation: there were all the necessary appliances in the living space which includes a microwave, water dispenser, fridge, TV, and even a leg massage machine (there were always people using it, it's very comfy). In my room, which was a 4 bed room, there was another TV just for the guests in this room. - Great location: very near to Teramachi and Shinkyogoku shopping streets. But it's very silent around the area so no worries about any noise.

The Wi-Fi didn’t stretch to our room, but that wasn’t a big problem for us. They only accepted payment in cash so I had to make an additional ATM visit.

My 13 year old daughter and I stayed in a double room for 3 nights while we explored Kyoto. We both felt at home immediately. The common space was welcoming and enjoyable to hang out in, our beds were comfortable, and the shared bathroom and shower were clean and comfortable. I’m not sure if it’s always this way, but the other guests were quiet and polite and respectful. Wish we could have stayed here longer!

Everything was great. The shared living room may be a little small but the bedroom was big enough and comfortable for two people. The bed and blanket were clean and very comfy. They even had a foot massage machine. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They could recommend some nice places to visit and the place was close to a famous market. I will definitely stay here if I go to Kyoto again!

Not a social place and I was a bit unlucky with other guests who stormed our dorm at 7am to chat loudly with their friend (but that can always happen) In general it’s mainly older Japanese women in the guesthouse, not much opportunity for communication in English. So if you’re travelling alone and want to socialise I wouldn’t recommend, but other than that great place.

Super friendly and welcoming hosts. Room was super spacious and bathrooms were super clean. Also location is great to explore Kyoto. And best part they have a foot massage machine which is amazing after a day out exploring.
