There was a lot of noise from the adjoining property with children running up and down stairs.

The apartment was clean and well equipped. There was plenty of bedding and towels. A nice little balcony looking out on the surrounding mountains.

Had to pay extra to use the washing machine (we spent about ¥500 to wash and clothes for a family of 4). On one night, people arrived to stay in the adjoining house and were stomping up and down the stairs for a little while, which was a bit noisy. The walk to the station is a bit uphill, and although only 10 minutes it feels like a long way when your feet are sore from a day of sightseeing.

It was nice to have a kitchen so we could prepare food. The kitchen was well set up with appliances. The house was in a quiet neighbourhood. 10 min walk to Hakone station. Nice views. The dining / lounge area had nice lighting with various preset options. Beds in the downstairs room were comfortable. My kids said the futons were comfortable. There is 7-11 is nearby, also a bakery and a couple of restaurants.

Only negative was that it is away from town, so every time we needed food, we would have to walk back to town, but only 10 minute walk.

There's a connecting property owned by another company. The walls are very thin & we could constantly hear the people next door talking & running up the stairs. This wasn't a problem for us, but there are signs in the property advising you to keep the noise down, including talking levels after 9pm due to complaints from the other property. This was a little restrictive IMO as we felt we constantly had to constantly monitor our conversation levels due to the thin connecting walls.

Key codes were sent via the booking.com messenger, very easy to get in. Property was super clean & is clearly really well looked after. Nice location & easy to get to everything on foot.

The toilets is downstairs so for the kids that slept on the upper level (3/3) it wasn't so convenient

The apartment was clean and nice. Checkin was easy - we've received very detailed instructions that you can'y go wrong. 7-eleven and a greengrocer was quite nearby and parking-lot available. We enjoyed cooking there every day!

ideal for family stay, especially if you have little kids. toys, slippers, step stool, flatware, this property is one of the few that kept kids in mind. Property was clean, Also close to a konbini. 2nd time we have stayed here. 10 minute walk from the train station, restaurants, etc.

Well appointed villa with good quality furnishings and plenty of space. Though in a quiet part of town, it was a short walk to the centre of Hakone. There were a couple of nice, local restaurants within 2-3 minutes walk.

It's smaller than we thought. As in the photo provided, there are actually 2 sets in 1 villa. We booked for 7 adults and 1 child, but one adult weren't able to join, finally thanks to that we could have enough space to sleep. I think 6 adults is already max for the set that we booked. If you want more private I recommend for only 2 groups (2 + 2 or 2 + 3). Their service system is all automatic, it replies fast but it's hard to join a real person to talk. So i've received many repeated email from robot.

Easy to get there, about 10 min from Hakone Yumoto. The villa is clean, comfortable and there are enough cooking tools. It's by the river so I imagine we have spend good time by summer too.

The property we got had very tiny shower cabin.

You can feel yourself as at home. It has many additional mattresses. 9 min walk from the station. Small kids playground near the property.

The property is about a 10 min walk in the opposite direction from the main Hakone area. Its in a residential area and there isn't much around. The layout was strange and a lot of narrow and steep stairs. First floor: toilet and one bedroom. Second floor: living room, kitchen and a bathroom that had a sink and shower only. Third floor: Loft bedroom. So if you want to use the toilet, you had to walk all the way down to the first floor. Small towels.

This property worked for our family of 5. The property was clean and comfortable. There was a luggage storage area that we used before and after our stay. It had a kitchen with plenty of plates and utensils. It also had a washing machine. The check in instructions and information from host was detailed and thorough and included discount codes for different businesses in the area. The Japanese bedding was a fun experience and comfortable.

The late checkout policy was too harsh. The host charges 2,750 Yen for every extra 15 mins. I tried requesting them to consider my case for some exceptional reasons but still no luck. I've never experienced such high penalty for late check out and hence feel like this part should have been highlighted better even before booking.

The accommodation was excellent and very well kept, reflecting the traditional Japanese style

The lay out of the place was not too comfortable. The bathroom is on the bottom floor, while the shower is on the second.

The place was very clean with a well equipped kitchen. The location pf the place was convenient.

The wife only worked in a very small part of the house and it was very slow. The location isn’t the most ideal.

I loved the Japanese style accommodation.
