Location, staff were amazing, food was out of this world. Onsen was fabulous. Clothing also wonderful. Walks around the lake and taking the romance car and cable car in using Hakone pass was a brilliant way in.

The hotel is located on the lakefront, near Kakone Ropeway and the Hakone Pirate Ship Togendai port. Large public spaces. Dinner and breakfast with a wide variety of options, beautiful and tasty. Great onsen. Variety of amenities. English-speaking receptionist, explained in detail what the hotel offers. Large and pleasant balcony with a foot bath. Relatively large room for Japan.

    Nothing. It was perfect.

We booked the room with private outdoor onsen. We stayed 2 nights and it was the perfect hotel to rest for a couple of days. The hotel is modern, has a very nice lounge area with a foot bath and free refreshments. The public onsen is amazing, very modern, big and with an outdoor area. The meals are included, buffet style, but the food is really great. The area is super calm, near Togendai Station, so you can easily use the boat and ropeway to do some activities nearby.

The buffet was subpar; they offered an ok selection between japanese and western food. The food was not delicious but it was passable. Honestly felt the hotel was a bit overpriced for it is but my family liked it so I don’t complain

My mom and sister loved this place. Its right across from the Togendai station but not sure why on Google Maps it says a 12-minute walk. The view from the hotel is stunning and the facilities were clean. They offer amenities on the second floor which you grab yourself and yuakatas to choose to wear. They also have samue and slippers in the room, as well as a little basket to carry your stuff to the onsen. The onsen was a highlight, it was awkward at first but no one looks at you so don’t worry or feel shy. The room itself is spacious, since we had three people, staff came up to prepare the futon for us. The hotel also offers free shuttle service to and from Odawara station and they will probably ask you during check-in if you want a shuttle to the station.

Checkout was so early at 10am

The foot spa is amazing overlooking Lake Ashi. Location is superb as it’s just a 2 min walk from Togendai Ropeway Station. The staff can speak good English and it’s very well organised. So many thoughtful things from Yukatas to sleeve restraints when you are having dinner and there is a gift shop for you to even do a bit of shopping. Would defintely recommend for couples and family alike. Something for everyone. Did I mention I love the foot soaking? Wish I had more time to do that!

The private onsen was amaizing. It filled itself automatically, so it's good to see these little things in Japan, where they add convenience to everything. It's a great place just to stay in and relax. But still a few meters away from the Hakone Ropeway and the pirate ship for when you want to explore.

We wanted a private open air onsen and ours was amazing! The room was clean and the facilities were very good. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Though the food was buffet style it was very good and I think this hotel is a great value for all the facilities provided.

    Location and the staff
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple

    • Stayed 2 nights

The room we stayed in the first night of our second part of stay was very noisy, there was knocking sound coming from the ceiling very frequently throughout and I could hardly sleep for 3 hours. The noise was probably caused by condensation of the cold and warm air. When I lodged a complaint the next morning, the staff was attentive and they attended to this issue promptly. They changed our room and subsequent to this, we had quality sleep the following nights and a pleasant stay. Other than this, all was great.

This is the second part of our stay as we extended our stay from 3 nights to 6 nights, but unfortunately they had only standard rooms available for the last 3 nights of our stay. Room was cosy, clean, view was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic. Just 2 minute walk from hotel back entrance to Togendai Port (where you will board the pirate ship), ropeway station and Tozan bus station.

    Nothing

We love the private onsen on our balcony, the interior of room is nice and it's spacious. Great view of Lake Ashi from our room and the location is very convenient. It's just a 2 min walk from hotel back entrance to Togendai port (to board pirate ship), ropeway station and Tozan bus station. They provide Yukata and pyjamas. It was quite fun to see many guests wearing Yukata in the evening for dinner. The hotel provides free shuttle bus to pick us up from Odawara station. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. They are very quick in responding to all our questions.

Quite a large hotel and may need to walk a long way to the main building for onsen and meals

Perfect lakeside view, very neat and tidy room, excellent location with Hakone ropeway and the Pirate ship next door. Good buffet with many choices of foods. Comfy beddings.

The location is a bit far, so you have to purchase the Hakone pass to travel conveniently. We planned to do so anyway so it didn’t change for us much

The facilities were great, we had a private hot tub in our room which was incredible. There’s a great view on the lake, and you can enjoy the foot bath while watching it. We are both vegetarian and when we ask the kitchen staff which dishes do not contain meat and fish, they guided us and also prepared vegetarian soups specially for us for dinner. It is important to mention they do not separate tools in the kitchen.

Climatisation in the room is hard to figure out - it keeps coming back up to 22 degrees no matter what There is a free hotel shuttle from the train station - highly recommended as the buses take for ever if there is trafic - but not so easy to find info about (you have to thoroughly explore the webiste of the hotel, or write to them) If you write through the booking communicator you get automatic replies that do not reply your questions. Try and contact the hotel directly for questions.

Great place to go relax for a few days - great location, great facilities, extra nice staff.

The hot spring in the room is a little on the hot side but bearable for a few minutes. Also we didn't specify about the type of bed we're looking for and got twin beds so worth being specific if you're a couple. Also the hotel is quite remote (not necessarily a bad thing!) but I'd recommend booking in their free shuttle service from Odawara station in advance

We had a lovely stay here in what is a beautiful hotel. The views from the hotel are amazing and it's very conveniently located next to the ropeway which we'd highly recommend for some epic views of Mount Fuji! The breakfast and dinner buffet is also very enjoyable but only slight downside is minimal options if you're vegetarian.
