Price was a bit expensive, probably would have been more worth it if we had stayed longer and got to explore more.

Only stayed one night so my friend and I didn't get to explore too much, but it was a great stay! My friend really enjoyed the open air bath, and it was also nice to have the private one in our room. We also enjoyed the garden and the great view of the trees in the morning. We didn't choose the dinner option so had to find food elsewhere - while there's a few food options connected to the premises, a lot of them were closed the day we were there. We ended up eating at the yakiniku place, which was fine (not much meat per plate, you grilled it yourself, prices just okay). The breakfast buffet was delicious! Had a really tasty onsen egg, fish roe, oden, etc. Travel wise - we walked on our way there from the subway, then on our way out used the bus stop right outside the connected yunessun, which had information about bus stops and timing, and were able to get to where we needed (Odawara).

lack of reasonably priced dining options. in our opinion dinner services are very much overpriced (16k and 9k pp), noise from outside (not sure what, probably swimming pool across the street? some machinery?) that prevents full leasure and relax when on the balcony

One of the best locations I've ever stayed at. Best staff I've ever seen. Very helpful, polite and professional. The location is just extraordinary too. especially the private onsen overlooking green hills. Can't ask for a better location and a better hotel. Cleanliness is also impeccable. Floors, toilets, bathrooms are all very clean. Great experience overall that'll cherish for ever.

Location is a bit tricky, since in a place like Hakone if you travel with the Hakone pass and the buses, the bus stop is a bit far from the hotel main entrance, so on first arrival with the bags it was not so comfortable. Since the hotel do offers a shuttle bus from the train station, I recommend you request the shuttle bus schedule in advance so you synchronize your arrival with it.

For dinner we requested no seafood and they customized all the courses to our liking. you could feel the effort and we highly appreciate it. For breakfast you have various options - western and Japanese, we loved it. Room was well equipped and you get various sizes and options for the traditional Yokatas clothings. Cleanliness wise - all in Japanese standards and it's the best you can get.

It is a large and newish hotel, so not really a traditional ryokan/ onsen experience. Also kaiseki dinner, while good, is a bit rushy and noisy, with last dishes served from a buffet. Still, for people new to Japanese culture this might be a better alternative than a small, traditional ryokan.

The only issue we had is that the hotel is a little distant from the town so we had to use a bus or the shuttle to get there, and both end early so we couldn’t go out to eat in the town in the evening

This hotel really exceeded our expectations. The service is exceptional and the staff is very welcoming and accommodating. They even helped us send our luggage directly to Kyoto which was our next destination. The onsen on our balcony was exquisite, and the outdoor foot onsen with the view of the mountains was a delight. Totally recommend.

We arrived via the family / swimming pool block which was confusing & unimpressive. There are no reading lights in the bedroom. Confusing choice of dinner menu & some items on the buffet are restricted - to tour guests. Failure to tidy up the tables in the evening session. Poor publicity ref dining facilities. Unable to purchase hotel bath products or clothes provided in bedrooms.

Breakfast was good with a wide choice on offer. There was pressure of numbers but prompt restocking of empty trays. We discovered the suchi restaurant for lunch in the complex next door for lunch which is really impressive. The bathtub on the balcony was a really nice touch. The array of bathroom products was good. Lovely views over the valley & mountains.

Too many noisy customers and they don’t seem to read the information pamphlet about the hotel and how to use onsen. They don’t shower before getting in the onsen and talked very loud. A bit annoying.

The property is well maintained and beautiful landscaping. The onsen facility is just great with beautiful views.

Onsen in the room was small, the VIP lounge had very few options to choose from, and the shower was very small.

Lovely staff, accommodating, answered questions well. Room was spacious and there was a beautiful view. The dinner we had was sensational, highly recommend, as well as the breakfast.

We loved this hotel. Our room was quite spacious and the view was stunning. The shabu-shabu dinner was very special and unique. The highlight of our trip was the private onsen experience in the open air bath at our terrace; it was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or wish to experience something different.
