The room was really clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet had various options even for vegetarians. With fresh fish ingredients, we could make delicious Keisen don. The Onsen facilities were clean and nice. The location is not on the main Hakone but it was better as we could avoid the traffic. Free shuttle bus from Gora station helped us to save the time to reach the hotel. I would like to visit the place again.

Hello, they have quite a number of Americans staying in their hotel. My travelmate called them again and slowly described the blind in Chinese to them.

This was a real treat. Not cheap but the experience was more than worth it. On arriving, you are greeted at the door by wonderful ladies that take your bags and help you check in. Tea ,cold drinks, ice-cream are all available in the reception area where there is also an external balcony area with seating and foot spa looking across to the mountains.The rooms have private onsens on the balcony and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. We had a kaiseki meal plan which was theatre in itself. Breakfast was even more incredible with a mind boggling array of choice including lobster legs and champagne! Our stay was our last day in Japan after a 5 week tour and when the taxi took us to the train station..I actually shed a tear of sadness. It was such an incredible place to stay .THANKYOU !.we will remember it always!

United StatesThere was A LOT of people, probably because we went during peak Koyo season, but getting to the destination via bus was a nightmare! The only way to get to Odawara for the shinkansen is by bus, which is 40-50 minutes. You can opt for a taxi, but when we tried, they were all booked already :(
This place is so beautiful during the Autumn time. The amenities are great, there's free ice cream from the vending machines! They also had a free concert going on when we were there. The onsen is fantastic, they provide toiletries as well as yukatas. There's a garden at the property you can walk around in. The dinner kaiseki was great, they gave us a dinner buffet afterwards as well if we wanted more food. The breakfast buffet was also fantastic!

AustriaThe included breakfast was had a huge selection, yet a lot of it was fish-based, which wasn't my preferred choice of breakfast. It also didn't really include too much "western breakfast", but as a picky eater, that's probably a problem not worth complaining about. Lastly a downside of the experience would have been, that we got the room in the very back of the hotel, as it was "close" to the street, but as we mostly used the onsen at night it wasn't all that worrisome!
Hakone is a beautiful place and the hotel itself was amazing! The staff was super friendly upon arrival and throughout the entire stay. We only stayed for a night, but it was definitely worth the experience! The private onsen on the balcony was incredible and was a super refreshing experience especially since we came from a weekend in Tokyo. We got Yukata and Samue in various sizes to use as clothing throughout the stay. I also once used the public men's onsen, which switches the location with the women's onsen every day. That day I luckily had the beautiful view over the valley and the free ice cream machine came in handy on the way back into the hotel room. ^^ On the day of check-out, we also sent our luggage to our next hotel, which was super easy with the help of the staff. It was a really cool experience and I cannot recommend it enough! PS: the next day we wanted to visit the Hakone Open Air Museum (which I also recommend to anyone staying) and the hotel included a free shuttle bus to it (even after we checked out)

United StatesIt seemed crowded? Overbooked perhaps? We hadn’t pre-registered for dinner when we made reservations. When we checked in they asked if we would like dinner. Apparently the “ only availability left” was a buffet. When we arrived for dinner we were ushered past the main dining room into the “ backroom” which was mainly empty except for 2 other tables, and we never saw wait staff. ( the buffet was being served in the main dining room, so we paraded past the other diners to fill our plates then return to the back room. We were told that there would be a jazz musician performing in the afternoon at 4:00 in the lobby we arrived at 4:30 to an overcrowded room, to hear the musician perform 1 song, then quit at 5:00!
