The hotel bathroom is a tad small.

This ryokan is the best onsen ryokan we’ve stayed with, conveniently located just a stone’s throw from the train station. The service is both warm and attentive. The highlight, however, is the private onsen, which truly sets this ryokan apart with its breathtaking views, exquisite design, and unforgettable experience.

One of the staff looked like she was forced to be there while serving us dinner and breakfast. I wish there were more variety. Majority of all meals includes fish.

Beautiful Japanese tatami room with huge windows looking out over the river. Supper was a large selection of delicious traditional food served right in your room. Being able to reverse the outdoor onsen is a wonderful addition to a couple's getaway. Location right next to the station and many shops, it's perfectly situation for whatever you have planned.

We should have booked for a longer stay, there is so much to explore in Hakone and the surrounding of the Ryokan. Our stay was too short to enjoy the facilities of the Ryokan besides the fantastic hosting by the staff.

Fantastic staffs. Mr. Eto went beyond his line of duty to help my son trace, and arrange the souvenirs he bought but left at Owakudani to be forwarded to Kyoto where we next went. That changed the mood of my son for the rest of the trip which would otherwise be one of misery. Ms Hitomi the other staff, though limited in her proficiency in English did her best to make us feel at ease in explaining to us how we should enjoy the set dinner provided.

They had tatami beds, which were nice, but it takes some getting used to.

Oh it's a classic Japanese stay. Very beautiful. We especially loved the private onsen in the room overlooking the beautiful stream. Staff were also very helpful and able to converse in simple English.

Great location, tucked away right behind the main street. The open air private bath facing the river was amazing and relaxing. Futon rooms were comfortable with bedding laid out as you have dinner in the private dining rooms.

What an amazing ryokan experience! The staff were next level accommodating and greeted you on your floor to make sure everything was okay with your room. I booked a room with an open air bath and took full advantage of it in both evening and morning. Lovely hearing the river while bathing and sleeping. I had breakfast included in my stay and it was great trying a traditional Japanese breakfast. The location of the property is very close to the first train station into Hakone. There is a 7-11 close by and some great restaurants.

Well placed and lovely Ryokan. The staff were super friendly and the food delicious. Enjoyed the private onsen very much. The room was perfect overlooking the river and we enjoyed our stay albeit brief. Thank you.
