Super helpful and friendly staff who could speak English. Really nice and spacious rooms. Loved the Tatami mat room. Shower was one of the best ive had in Japan. Delicious home cooked breakfast in the morning. Coffee machine on site was available when we arrived - 9pm, and then again at breakfast. Would love to stay again.

A delicious breakfast with a nice view on the mountain was superb! The host was so kind that they ran to get us some umbrellas when they saw us going out in the rain. The room was really nice, clean and well equipped.

The hotel is very cozy and feels like living in a European home and the fact it is facing the alps is a selling point which makes you feel that Asahikawa is like Switzerland of Japan!!! It is a walking distance to Farm Tomita and you can pass the mountains while walking/cycling/driving.The homemade breakfast is very delicious and makes you feel full enough until 2pm. The rooms are well maintained and very clean. Even free coffee is highly recommended as the taste is comparable to those in coffee shops.

Our room was on the second level and a little small if you are thinking of bringing along 3 large luggages but good for a short stay.

Initially we thought the room we booked might be too small but it turned out comfortable enough and we stayed there for 4 days! So comfortable place

The sense of familiarity with this place and host was just so friendly n warm. Facilities wise, they had a microwave and thus, it worked very well. They had washing machine services and it was nice to have our clothes washed! We took their advise for an onsen spa nearby and it was great!

Would have been nice to have a dry room for snow gear, however, the boot dryer you could use and leaving snowboard/ski boots in the entry was fine.

Location was great, easy to find and also had parking. The reception staff were very friendly! Definitely a highlight of the stay. Room was very clean and modern combination of western beds with a tatami living room area. Very well kept and clean. Breakfast was affordable and delicious!

Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay.

This inn is run by a very friendly and helpful couple, who speak good English. Everything is very modern and clean, and our Japanese-style room was spacious, and the bathroom was also spacious, especially for Japanese standards. On a clear day, you have great views of the Tokachi Mountain Range. It's only 12 minutes by car in the winter from Furano and Kamifurano, and it's likely to be sunny by the inn in the winter, even when the mountains are snowy.

So so happy we get to stay here, so meticulously clean, new and comfortable… every details of the room are well thought, very functional and spacious. Owners are a couple and they are so helpful and friendly! Price is reasonable too! We used their washer/dryer for ¥500 which is very convenient! It’s a 15mins easy drive to the ski lift, and 6 mins drive to a public onsen and supermarket. We’d definitely like to come back again soon!

The hotel located in a convenient spot, which takes only 15 minutes drive to the Furano ski zone. The hotel owners are a super friendly couple, and they provided not only great services but also kindness and valuable suggestions (from food to public onsen). We stayed 4 nights there, and did enjoyed the time there. We had the breakfast on the first day. The hostess baked the milk breads and made the creme brûlée herself, which really impressed me. The other highlight is the patience and the best can do attitude from the host. Since I booked the room, I had messaged the hotel few times due to the day changes and an extra person adds-on. They always responded quickly and did their best to resolve my concern. I definitely would choose this place again when I visit furano in the future.

The couple who ran the place were exceptionally friendly, warm and helpful. We had a few lovely conversations with them and learnt more about the locals. They also recommended places where we could go. We had 1 breakfast there and it was rather substantial. What we love was that the bread was freshly baked by the lady boss herself. Really good! The place was very clean. The futons were so cosy and comfortable. There's a washer dryer which we could use for 500 yen per load.

Location. We had a car and that was great, but over the Christmas period it was very difficult to get food close by apart from the convenience stores. We ended up driving 10-15 minutes for meals at either Kamifurano or Furano itself.

The stay at Hanafuji was excellent. We were so well looked after - the hosts went above and beyond.
