we had maybe the smallest room, which is extremely small ;) but worked out ok and didnt matter so much

staff is amazingly friendly. u get a bit of japanese touch by changing shoes and taking off in the dining area. It's in a very quiet location, amazing bakery cafe just around the corner. we were allowed to leave luggage behind which was very helpful and avoided storage fees

The room and especially the bathroom/toilet were kinda small. The main problem I have with this structure is unfortunately not with the structure itself but the location: it's almost a kilometer away from Nippori station. The station is luckily served by Yamanote Line, but it is very inconvenient if you plan to use the subway (so if you plan to visit places like Shibuya, Shinjuku or Ginza often expect for every trip to take a while).

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a bit smaller than we expected and there wasn't a table or a wardrobe, but it was still very nice. Extremely clean structure with a daily towel change. Overall a very pleasant stay, the shared area was very nice and equipped with several amenities, but can be quite crowded at times.

Nothing. Rooms are typical small but to be expected in Europe and Japan.

Amazing location 10 minutes from large nippori train station on Yamanote line, close to amazing coffee houses and restaurants. This place was so well cared for, clean modern and comfortable. The neighborhood is also quaint with nice restaurants and coffee houses nearby. We wished we could have stayed longer. Recommendation to new Tokyo visitors: don’t try to be right in Shibuya or Shinjuku, as long as it’s a stop on the key lines. It’s actually nice to get away from the crowds.

I don't have anything bad to say about Wagokoro. I guess that if you want a western style hotel with an English breakfast, and western furniture then this isn't the place for you.

Wagokoro guesthouse was a very nice Japanese style hotel that was a new experience to me. my room had Japanese Futons and a low table with pillows to sit down. The hotel was super clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. The Nippori area where the hotel is located is also a nice and quieter neighborhood that to me was nice to return to after a busy day in Tokyo.

Location was great close to Nippori station and quiet neighborhood, there is a very good bakery close to the hotel. We would come back thank you!

I like EVERYTHING about it! The staff there is wonderful! One of the main reasons why I will come back to the hotel and EVEN JAPAN! they’re just amazing and the facilities are just as good! Everything is so clean, well organised, just perfect! I arrived from my flight at almost 3 am and there was someone waiting for me, he helped me with my luggage, prepared some slippers for me, and told me we could do the paper work in the morning, that I should just rest first after a long flight. The bathrooms are SO CLEAN! honestly everything about this place is perfect! I highly recommend it!

It was just a little bit noisy at night without using earplugs.

Very nice hotel where we spent only one night. Good facilities, the staff is absolutely great and helpful. The rooms are big for the Tokyo standards and very well appointed. The hotel is very close to Nippori Station, less than 10minutes walk. We would recommend the place

Amazingly helpful staff - some of the best customer service we've ever had!

One of my family members is more introverted and didn't really like greeting and making small talk with the front desk staff whenever we came in and out, but when we return from our daily adventures feeling exhausted they're really respectful and just greet us with a "welcome home" so I don't think it's a huge deal. The room was small but that's understandable given that it's in Tokyo. Another little thing that might be annoying is taking shoes/slippers on and off more frequently than other hotels (for example: in the entryway, we change from shoes to slippers and put shoes in locker, then wear slippers up to our rooms, then take off slippers for the tatami-floored part of the room, and the shared kitchen space also no slippers) but I think that's how they keep everything so clean and it didn't bother us much except for when my family member realized at the front door that he left his IC card in the hotel room and had to go back upstairs and change shoes/slippers again.

The best part of staying here was the staff...they are SO friendly and nice and helpful beyond belief. Front desk was staffed 24/7. They always made sure we had what we needed and then some! I appreciated it so much when they asked where we were planning on going that day and gave extra advice to help ensure the commute went smoothly. For example, when we were stressed out about how to get from the hotel to Haneda airport with all our luggage (we bought a lot), we asked them how much a taxi would be. They estimated around $100 which was similar to what Google Maps was showing us. But then they suggested that we take a taxi from the hotel to the train station (which only cost 900 yen, less than $6) and then take 1 train straight to Haneda Airport Terminal 3 and reassured us that the train station has elevators and everything for a smooth train catching experience. Thanks to the staff's advice we saved a lot of time and money that day. And the first day we checked in, I mentioned my mother was vegan and they even gave us a free resource book on all the vegetarian restaurants in Tokyo, and gave us advice on which train(s) to take to our chosen restaurant for the easiest transfer. The kitchen and dining area were shared and sometimes it got a little busy, but we were able to use the microwave, enjoy the free iced coffee, and then borrow a tray to eat in our room when it was busy. The futons were comfortable. Everything was kept very clean - we were pretty surprised to see that they cleaned our room and replaced all the sheets/towels/yukatas and made our beds every single day that we were there - all 5 days! The cleaning staff worked very hard. Location was great and only about a 9 minute walk from the train station, very close to Tokyo Skytree and Asakusa and easy to get to other parts of Tokyo so we got to explore a lot in our 5-day stay at this hotel.

    Nil!

The rooms were very clean and the futons were very comfortable. Many amenities such as fridge, hot water and even coffee was provided. The rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday as well to come back to a pleasant room. The location of the hotel is also very convenient being very near Nippori Station as well as a very short walk to a 24 Hr coin laundry. The neighbourhood where the hotel is at is also very quiet and peaceful. The hotel also requires the key to enter after 11pm so there is no worries for safety. The staff were the nicest bunch of people ever and they were always providing help for me and my friends during our stay. They took initiative to see what we needed assistance with and also extending their courtesy beyond what was required. I highly recommend staying here!

I fell from the bed leaving scars for getting down from the end/leg edge, not use to get down from end of the bed (usually i sleep in the side edge that turning my body would let me reach floor easily, that time i slept in last row/next to wall). But it wasn't the hotel mistake, and am still very happy staying there, moving to the other side on the next night :-D

This is the best hotel during our trip in Japan. Interior feels still new, all staff could speak English and exceptionally friendly and helpful (not just talk but action, they would get up from their post just to show me the lift which is actually very close, showed me how to use oven microwave, helped taking out the luggages). The most impressive service is they would bring our dropped luggages to the room directly when room is ready (the staff did the tagging and told us we could just leave for sightseeing) . Very convenient. The bakery nearby is indeed good, if on budget, the supermarket next to it offers 40% discounted meals at 9pm. We bought many snacks for souvenirs from that supermarket, cheaper and more uniques 😁.Distance is 8min or with many heavy luggages may take 13mins, so need to consider the timing well to catch up airport train. They offered limited free kimono to use around if helping them post review in socmed.

There were limited pillow options in the rooms, some were soft and other was a little too hard. Beds were comfortable, however.

The staff were very friendly, spoke great English and were attentive to all the details. They assisted us in pretty much settling in and advising us about the area, where to buy electrical appliances, etc etc. The hotel location was so close to the Bakery, with amazing coffees and baked goods, along with a huge supermarket for all those essentials. The 24hr laundry was right across the road - how handy is that! Perffect! The kitchen facilities, although limited, was still useful for cooking and heating up food. Bottomless hot and cold coffee a bonus!

I didn’t like the single beds with mattresses on the floor. I can understand a futon on the floor but not 2 single beds. Friends had a room for 3 normal single beds raised from the floor. The mattresses were comfortable enough.

Cleanliness was above expectations. Location was within walking distance, at least a 15 minute walk to the Nippori train station a JR line. Best thing was having a receptionist at the entrance (someone very helpful that you could talk to. She made sure everyone respected the entrance rules of taking shoes off and having slippers handy for you. Shoes were kept in a small locker assigned to you by the reception desk. Another good thing was the access to the kitchen with cooking utensils, pots, and plenty of dishes. It was a walking distance to a bakery and a supermarket where we picked up our meals and warmed them up in the microwave. The dining area only had low tables with cushions on the floor plus a normal height bench to sit on.
