The location is amazing, close to the beautifulest part of the lake. The room "with moutain view" had a large, full view on Fuji-san. It was like in a dream to open the panels of the japanese-style room in the morning and to discover this view. The owner is incredibly nice and very helpful with everything. He comes pick you up in the train station and even book local traditional restaurants for you. I would book there again with absolutely no hesitation. It's a highlight of my trip in Japan.

The host is super friendly, he picked me up from the bus station and dropped me back off the next day. The hostel is really nice and clean and a lovely view of Mount fuji from the garden, would definitely recommend. Only a ten minute drive from the bus station.

The dormitory gets very warm at night, especially the top capsules. No stove/hot plate in the kitchen, making it near impossible to cook your own meals. The automatic lights in the toilets go out every 4-5 seconds making it very annoying.

The host Michi was very friendly. The place was very clean. The view of Mount Fuji was impressive when the clouds momentarily cleared.

Nothing - we had a great time!

The host is extremely helpful and friendly, explains everything around the hostel and Kawaguchiko, and provided a transfer from the station (in the afternoon) and to the station (in the morning). We stayed in a tatami room, which was very convenient and nice, and had a great view of Mt. Fuji. The hostel has a wonderful garden with a view of Mt. Fuji as well.

Provide me and my family all information we want for Kawaguchi visit. Though the 2 days are raining most of time, which made hard to see Fuji, still we enjoy the trip.

The host Michi was extremely friendly, funny and flexible (and very accommodating)! Exploring Kawaguchiko and getting to its attractions (onsens, hikes, caves, etc.) without a car and only using public buses is not so easy, but Michi gave lots of good suggestions on how one could do so. The common area and the garden was very beautiful (see the photo attached!)

A bit far from the center

The location is awesome. It's a bit far from the center but Lake Kawaguchiko is super nice and chill and I really enjoyed my walks there. The host owner was super friendly and offerd a lot of help and tips. You can see mount Fuji from the chilling area

It is in a residential area, but I think that is part of the charm. Hostel owner picks you up and drops off from station. Was nice to walk around at night.

We had an amazing stay at Michikusa-Ya. The hostel is super nice, very cozy and clean. You can enjoy a beautiful view on Mount Muji from the main room, as well as from some of the private rooms. The location is perfect in a nice and quiet area (not too touristic), 5 min walk from the lake and around 10 from restaurants. The station is a bit further but the owner offered pick-up service. Michi, the owner, was super kind and welcoming. He helped us organize a perfect stay at Kawaguchiko.

All is good!

It is clean and comfortable. The owner of property is very nice. He pick up at the bus station and if you want to go to station, you can tell him beforehand. You can enjoy the full view of Fuji mountain.

It was very quiet so didn’t really get to meet many other travellers.

The owner is super helpful and always there to help you. He will take you to the station in the morning if you want to climb and pick you up after check in time. The social area is great with a nice garden view of Fuji.

-The location a far from kawaguchi station but thats fine because owner pick me up and drop me off for free at the station, also its close to the green line bus stop. -internet is slow , this would be quite frustrating for someone who do nt have own phone data.

The owner is very helpful. He gave alot useful information and places visit. Bed is spacious and the room is kinda big with a own locker provided. Mt fuji can be seen through the window at the common area is the main reason i love about this place but everything here is perfect, clean , tidy and tranquil.

Since it is a hostel, there were no private bathrooms but definitely worth it for the view.

It was definitely a highlight of our time in Japan, waking up in the morning and having the perfect sunrise view of Mount Fuji. Also our first time sleeping in a traditional room, it was more comfortable than I expected. Very cosy. The host Michi was also very friendly, offering trips and transfers to the station. Would definitely recommend.
