The location is just perfect to walk around Nara Park and other famous spots. Room was pretty big especially compared to other hotels in Japan! Everything is clean! I`d love to stay here again someday :)

We paid for a small double, and that's what we got... a SMALL double. Not the best room we stayed at on our holiday, but it was exactly as advertised.

Location, location, location! We couldn't believe it when we saw where it was at the price they were asking. True, the room was small and plain, and there were only two bathrooms and toilets on our floor, but we could walk into the park in five minutes and to the station in ten...and from some rooms you could see the deer grazing in the park.

Not the hotels fault but there was one old lady that woke up at 5:30 every morning and made so much noise in the kitchen. We were right beside the kitchen and the walls are paper thin so ear plugs were essential

Great little spot. So close to everything like the deer park and the Mochi pounding shop. Good pressure showers on 4th floor. Female shower room is huge. Good room size and storage space. Staff are the front desk are lovely and very welcoming

The windows are opaque and frosted, so you can not see outside. If the weather is mild, you can open it up to see the greenery of the edge of Nara Park. The smart toilet is new, but it is connected to an old style public toilet type of flushing handle, so it is awkward to bend over the back of the toilet and apply pressure to flush. It was nice to have access to a communal kitchen area, but it is located next to the dorm toilet and showe stalls, so unless those doors are closed, it's not a nice place to eat. Also, although there is a stove top, microwave and toaster there isn't any real eating utensils or plates, cups, etc. available, just a random collection of things that look like they were left behind. It's really best for just a simple breakfast or heat and serve meals or noodle cups, etc. It's only a few minutes walk to wonderful little Japanese or Western restaurants in the alleyways or covered shopping walks.

Hotel Pagoda is right next to Nara Park, so getting an early start before the crazy crowds arrive or visiting a more peaceful park after they leave will greatly enhance your experience. The room is basic, but just got a recent refresh and remodel, so that makes it a great bargain for the price. It has a ridiculously huge bathtub and bathing room and includes bath salts.

The ac unit was pretty loud, and some of the beds were creaky.

Pleasant stay, very central location and easy to get to the deer. Free parking on site was useful and we had morning views of the deer which was nice. Communal kitchen is available also

The curtains don’t block out light well. And the light in the capsule is so bright light gets out and everyone in the room can see it.

compared to other hotels, it seemed to us a bit pricey for its standard.

Excellent location, right next to the deer park and temple complex. Also the lake area is nice with shops, cafes and places to eat. The room we had was huge, large bathroom with bathtub, very comfy, well equiped. The hotel had also common room to heat up the food. Hotel has parking.

Location is right near the deer park, admittedly via a steep flight of stairs, as well as close to the shopping district. A short stroll gets you there, but you are away from any noise. We hired electric bikes and spent one afternoon riding around, and it was wonderful and very easy. Our room was quite large with a Tantami mat, which delighted my son as he enjoyed sleeping on a futon.

We made some last minute changes at the reception which were accepted in spite of the late hour (1030pm), staff was friendly and cooperative inspite of the obvious language challenges

I missed some curtains at the bed, I stayed in a shared room for girls with 4 beds in total and there were o curtains to create a private space or block light. Everything else was good though!

I liked that everything seemed quite new and modern - the toilet and shower were very clean and quite big, and there was a nice common space. Also, the location is unmatched for the price!
