Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Great location - 10 mins walk from the station and also stops for most of the local buses. Room is in decent size and they have amenities such as leg & back massage machine that I would never expected to see in any hotels.

Easy accessibility to station, markets, all attractions and eateries. Our best hotel stay for this our third trip to Japan. Kana zawa was a highlight of our 30 day trip and this hotel contributed to this.

ArgentinaThere was no one speaking other than Japanese in the staff, difficult to communicate. It’s necessary to book breakfast in advance, otherwise there will be no place available.
Good rooms, small but very comfortable with natural light and all things needed plus a neck/head massager that was great. Good location near the station.

We loved Hotel Forza! This was our first time visiting Kanazawa and the hotel's location couldn't have been better. Although there is a bus that loops from Kanazawa Station to all of the major tourist sites, we did not utilize it because Hotel Forza was only about a 10 minute walk from Kanazawa Station. The hotel was also no more than 15 minute walk to any of the major sites, not to mention being within a couple blocks of a handful of coffee shops, conbini, drug stores, and other shopping. The room was a nice size and we ended up with a fantastic view from our room on the 9th floor. I appreciated the amenities bar in the lobby and was able to take what was needed instead of waiting for housekeeping to replenish. The beds were standard Japanese firm, but not too bad. The shower was the BEST I've ever used. A little difficult to figure out at first because there were so many knobs to turn, but once I figured it out, it was incredible! The breakfast seemed a little pricey when booking the hotel, but I cannot recommend it enough! I looked forward to breakfast every morning and there was so much to choose from, including western and Japanese foods, breads and desserts. The whole spread was delicious and it was fun to try new things that I might not have tried otherwise. We also appreciated to coffee maker in the lobby for espresso at any time. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially the breakfast staff. We absolutely loved our visit to Kanazawa! We will definitely be staying at Hotel Forza again if we get the chance to return.

Czech RepublicWe only could stay one night, because of our itinerary, but I would gladly stay there again and for longer.
Hotel was fantastic! Modern, large room for three and with a sofa! Supermodern bathroom with a large bath and shower with 100 functions and a foot massage machine in the room. Lavish breakfast with local specialities. Very near the food market and centrally located. Loved it! For me, best room during our 2 week stay in Japan

SpainThe hotel is very central and very well located, a 10 minute walk from the train station, in front of the Omicho market and a 15-minute walk from most tourist spots such as the Higashi District, Castle and Gardens. Hotel is also well connected by bus. The staff was very friendly and checking in was quick. Since it was snowing they lent me an umbrella in the front desk.Single room was spacious with a very comfortable bed with excellent cleanliness and all the necessary amenities. Very good and complete breakfast. The variety was very wide. Probably one of the best breakfasts I have seen in Japan with a good variety between continental breakfast and japanese style local products. Highly recommended hotel!!

AustraliaThere's no built-in bench to work on your laptop. The table provided is just too small. These are just based on my need.
The location & the room itself. The staff are very courteous and I asked one of them to adjust the room temperature and they did it straight away and it makes the temperature in the room feels more to my liking. It's got everything I need and all are in working order.
