Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

JapanFor the price, I was very happy with the hotel. I can't think of anything that I didn't like.
I really liked the location, literally in the covered shopping arcade, Teramachi. I was a little worried about noise, but in fact, my room was quiet. It was nice to walk out of the hotel and right in to the arcade, which has some really interesting shops and provides protection when the weather isn't good.

The Gracery Hotel Kyoto Sanjo is a very nice and modern-styled hotel. The service was very friendly and breakfast had enough variety for an extended start in the morning. The hotel has a great location - it sits right in the Teramachi shopping mall, only minutes away from Pontocho Alley, and just across the river from Gion. We found our stay very well set.

We love the location of this hotel and by Japan standards the rooms are spacious snd spotless with great WiFi and amenities.

United StatesDrying machines do not work very well, so please be aware it may take longer than anticipated if using. Check-in and check-out machines are a bit finicky and will usually need staff assistance to operate, making them almost impractical.
Centrally located within Kyoto and in easy reach of several bus lines around the city. On a main shopping thoroughfare in the city center. Staff are great as always, washing/drying machines available for small fee, a whole lounge for guests with books and free beverages. Room much larger than expected and reasonable value for price.

AustraliaThere are only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. We found one of the dryer is actually not working we wasted more than 1000 yen and 6 hours waiting for clothes to dry just to find them still as wet as when we first took them out of the washing machine. There is no notes to coins machine available, which would be more convenient than each time asking reception to change the coins for us. No vending machines available.
The hotel is in the prime location, in the midst of popular tourist and local attractions. It is within walking distance to 3 different train stations as well as buses. There are loads of shopping and dining availabilities around the hotel. The rooms are relatively spacious (by Japanese standards) and there is a lounge area well fitted with manga and books as well as comfortable seats as well as complimentary coffee, tea and soda as well. Self check in and out available.

JapanThere was a long queue for the check in, and even with the automatic machine it had taken some times, but I saw a lit of people leaving with big luggage and seems the hotel can organize some deliveries, that could be helpful. Personally my “relaxing” place is the bathroom, so having the sink in the entrance with a weak light and minimal space to put my stuff was the only thing I didn’t like.

Isle of ManThe lobby and public areas are beautiful and clean, but our room whilst a very good size and did have a bath was dated, not very clean, and the bed linen had a lot of stains and was quite old. The old stains and bad quality of the bed linen really surprised us considering the type of hotel and price, but we paid for location we know. Really really uncomfortable rock hard beds and an even harder pillow.
Really excellent location right in the middle of the covered shopping streets, right by a 7/11, extremely close to everything you could need so very convenient. Staff also very nice and check in/check out easy.
