How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The adress on booking is wrong. If you follow this adress it will lead you to a completely different building 15 mins of walking away from the actual hotel.
Staff very helpful - they helped me with planning my trip to the Ashi-Lake on the next day.

The bathroom is very small. The room could have used a second firm pillow. The A/C was blowing directly on my head.
Good size room, free parking on site. The public bath was clean. Breakfast was respectable. There is a grocery store and a ¥100 shop across the street. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. The views of Mt Fuji from the hotel are amazing.

We stayed at many hotels during our recent stay in Japan and found the staff at this hotel to be least warm and friendly but perhaps it was just a communication issue with our lack of understanding of Japanese. There was a lovely woman at reception on our last day who booked a taxi to take us to the train station.
The location was great - we were fortunate to get a clear view of Mount Fuji during our stay. The view is even better from the rooftop car park on the shopping centre across the road as the cables don’t get in the way as they do from the hotel’s viewing balcony. The hotel had nice facilities and really comfortable pyjamas which we were told were made exclusively for the hotel and not available for sale to guests. We had a wonderful breakfast of pancakes at tigreblanc which is a few minutes walk from the hotel.

The hotel staff are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly: hotel beds are nice and cosy , with good spread for breakfast each day , location is great with access to supermarket, fast food even daiso & Uniqlo too , That’s why we return to this venue time after time for its hospitality and facility

Quite far from the station, takes about 20 minutes to walk
Clean rooms, quite big. Lots of free amenities like makeup wipes and shaving cream.

A bit far from train station,but not a big deal,we can walk 10 mnt or take a taxi for 1000 yen
Clean and comfy hotel,with onsen and rooftop terrace where we can see Mt Fuji. Check in and out are fast and easy

Room is a little small even for 2 people.
It was within walking distance to daiso, uniqlo, and 7-11. Free parking next to the hotel. Room is clean. There is a public bathroom at the ground floor. It is separated by gender. Looks clean when I visited but I didn't use it.

One washer (on the left) should probably be replaced.

Only three restaurants within a kilometre radius, however the two we visited were a reasonable price.
A nice well presented hotel, with a viewing deck of Mount Fuji. Just over 1 Km from Station (1000 Yen taxi). 20 minute walk to the amazing international Peace Buddhist Temple with spectacular views of Mount Fuji. There are male and female Onsons included in the Tarrif and breakfast is only an extra 760YEN each. Shop and convenience stores close by.

Good location. Across the road is a supermarket, daiso and Uniqlo. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Room space was just nice for 2 people. Bed was comfortable. Shower and amenities were good too.

Very small bathroom for a European guy. Breakfast for Japanse people perfect I guess, but chicken curry and makrel in the morning, mmmmm can i have a sandwich please :-)
