Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe loved this centrally located hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The laundry was a plus as we were halfway through our holiday. The Cafe downstairs served the best coffee as well.

AustraliaExceptionally good value for money. Very friendly staff who work in the cafe located on the first floor of the hotel. Room was very clean and spacious for one person. They also have a Google Maps list of places with all their recommended places to eat and visit in town, each with a little comment included which I thought was a very nice touch.

AustraliaRooms were more modern and spacious than the pictures showed and we could not get over how convenient the location was to not only the local seafood market but also to all the other attractions in Kanazawa, we were able to walk everywhere! The local tips for food were spot on and we felt really looked after during our stay. We stayed during Setsuban and the hotel organised local soy snacks and information about the festival that we would not have know about otherwise. Having the cafe downstairs was the cherry on top. Their hot chocolate and ginger tea were amazing. Would 100% recommend this to all and easily would stay again. Thank you Hotel Pacific!

South KoreaI was about to stay overnight in the day when the earthquake happened in Kanazawa (starting in Noto). Staff assisted for all the guests and kindly helped to move another neighbour hotel. Pity that my day in Kanazawa was almost about earthquake, however I look forward near future to stay there!

Room is very clean and beautiful, the pajama is very comfortable, quiet place and nice staffs. Next to Omicho market so can eat breakfast everyday there.

JapanThis hotel is quiet and good-looking. The location is near the omicho area, and it’s very convenient to go to other visiting spots. The room is clean and large. And the staff are very very warm. Because of the earthquake we were trapped in amaharashi area and there is no public transportation to go back to Kanazawa. Thanks to Miyoshi-san, he drove for over two hours to pick us back to the hotel, and arranged a new room for us. The word is not enough to express my thanks in the difficult period. Hoping your hotel can recover soon from the earthquake and everything can go on well in the future. ❤️

1/ location: excellent, right next to Omicho market, so you just basically throw your luggage at the hotel and get there as a start of your trip. You can also walk around to almost all the sights seeing spots like Higashi chaya district, Kanazawa castle, the garden etc 2/ the cleanliness: the impression is your room is first used by you since it’s very very clean 3/ the reception is also a small cozy bar, get a hot latte before you start your trip 4/ the staff is super friendly and helpful 5/ the attention to small detail and corner to make the place cozy and lovely

AustraliaNA. I didn’t stay for long (only one night) but the hotel is a nice one. The location is a bit of a walk from the main station unless you take a bus but that’s hardly a big deal (the hotel is actually quite well centred within the city itself)
The hotel overall has a very laid back, relaxed vibe to it. My floor had a shelf of books and magazines to borrow and read from which I thought was a nice touch. The main reception/lobby doubles as a cafe and the staff can make decent coffee. Staff were really lovely and gave good recommendations for places to go in the city. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re perusing through the city

I liked everything. The location, the wonderfully helpful, personable staff (just basically NICE people, offered to and successfully booked two events for me), the room though small had everything I needed, the ginger tea like no other ginger tea! I will definitely be staying here again as I intend to revisit Kanazawa, my favourite Japanese city.

CanadaGreat location close to Omicho Market. Very safe, and lively. Very cute entrance. Home-y and warm, had lovely Hawaiian Christmas music playing - in early December. Beautiful clean rooms. Great size for multiple days, especially compared to Tokyo! Netflix, great location to Castle Park, Kenroku-en Gardens, and geisha districts, and shopping. Loved Mister Donut close by. Wonderful stay.
