Both our room’s windows looked out into brick walls so that was not so pleasant.

Location next to Kamo River so easy to walk to see the sakura and birdlife. Close to a bridge to walk to the main town area and railway station. Clean and comfortable beds and rooms. Staff were friendly. The hotel will look after your bags before and after checkin / checkout times which was helpful.

Only 2 washing machines, but it’s better than none. I was able to wash my clothes without going out in the rain. Also the Breakfast had to be reserved at 8am if you don’t have it on your booking, you can’t just walk in and get breakfast.

Great location just next to the Bridge and Metro, the hotel staff is SUPER helpful even making reservation on your behalf for tours/restaurants if you don’t know japanese. They speak english well! The rooms are very large and the shower was very good

Not all staff was helpful. The hotel does not offer luggage transportation service, which is highly inconvenient.

So sad the reception could not handle the TaQBin service and we therefore had to go to the post office nearby : that was not an easy process for us.

Friendly and helpful staff, decent sized rooms for such a popular destination, and good location right by the nearest subway stop. Usefully, you could restock on any amenities (disposable razors, tea bags etc.) yourself from near the front desk.

Kyoto is saturated with tourists, and as a result, hotel prices skyrocket. The hotel is really nice but expensive for the type of hotel it is. Book well in advance to avoid having to pay such high prices.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are spacious compared to the Japanese standard, the bathroom was excellent, and the shower was very hot, so it was very enjoyable after a long day. The hotel is very well located and easy to access by tram, subway, bus, or taxi. There's a TV in each room with Netflix etc. Have a loot at my Imstagram account if you want to see more : lilia.rsb

Only a few of staff speak English - but it is really not a big deal, as they are all super polite and trying hard!

Location and staff are very nice and the hotel itself is very welcoming. Basically everything is walking distance. Breakfast is also delicious.

Wifi was not working for our room and we had to use the lobby wifi during our stay. No room cleaning provided unless requested. Soundproofing was bad, and traffic from the main road was very loud at night.

Hotel was right next to the entrance of subway line, and had a relatively clean room. Facilities within the hotel were minimal, with 2 washing machines provided for communal use.

・If guests will arrive earlier than the scheduled check-in time, it is recommended that they notify the hotel at least one day in advance. I had to wait because my room was being cleaned when I arrived before the scheduled check-in time. The staff was very attentive during that time.

Extremely busy, no matter what time we went to reception it was packed with people checking in / out, only 2 lifts so was often large queues for reception or lifts to rooms Breakfast options were very limited and not worth the price of 2000 yen per person

Difficulty to use the luggage delivery system yamote from this hotel. It is unacceptable.

Only negative part was their lack of support for Japan’s takkyubin (Yamato) service. The hotel received our luggage through this service, but they would not ship out through this countywide system. This system is very critical to travelers like myself, who don’t want to travel by trains and busses dragging along heavy luggage.

Food was excellent, staff was also very courteous and attentive.
