How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The staff was so friendly, and the location cannot be beat. The room was large and clean. We only stayed one night and flew out early the next day, so we did not get to experience the gym, sauna, breakfast, etc. We are planning to stay again for a longer period.

Breakfast buffet ends at 9:30, which is a bit early for me.
The staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable. The hotel itself was very aesthetically pleasing, with lovely art everywhere. Location is perfect and amenities were plentiful.

Very comfortable rooms. Nice gym and public bath with saunas. Extremely helpful and kind staff. Great location close to shops and restaurants.

The room service menu is relatively simple. I had lunch in the hotel’s buffet restaurant for three consecutive days. The dishes were basically unchanged. The same steak was used for three consecutive days, including the same dish like curry. It is obvious that the same pot of curry was used for two to three consecutive days. The new dishes were not changed until the end of the meal, but I think it is understandable because of the impact of the epidemic.
The hotel is located in the middle section of International Road, there are many restaurants nearby, and there are two convenience stores just outside the door. Convenient shopping and convenient transportation. There are souvenirs for staying in the room. The hotel furnishings are brand new, and the bathtub is not designed to prevent overflow, so it is very comfortable. The front desk staff of the hotel are enthusiastic and considerate to customers, because it is a hotel operated by a Chinese Taiwan company and also provides Chinese services. This can be regarded as the best hotel on International Road.

We didn't know that the spa closes that early because the photo of the spa on booking.com, seemed like it's night so we thought it'll be opened till late at night but the final entrance is 5pm so we were so shocked because the main reason we booked this hotel was because it has the spa.

We asked for a late check out (12:00) which was granted. As our flight was not departing until 20:00, we asked if it would be ok to use the pool facilities during the day and then shower/change after. It eventually got agreed but took a long while for someone to finally authorise this. Would be nice if this was automatically granted for anyone with late flights.
Clean rooms and great location along Kokusai-dori. Hotel also offers a nice happy hour throughout the day which I think lasted from 1500-2000. Great cocktails and also have live jazz music on some nights. Pool was very clean and kept well

This was definitely not a five star hotel. The room was fairly basic and not very spacious either. We were on the top floor which allowed you access to a lounge area, except we were told we had been upgraded without our knowledge, so weren’t allowed to use it. Disappointing, and if this was an upgraded room I would have hated to see the others!
The location was quite central. We also liked the bar Divertido where you you could buy a light supper with your drinks. They also did a happy hour.
