Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The location was fantastic, walking distance to Kinkakuji temple, food and shopping malls. The amenities were very well set up, where you gather only what you need. The quality of the products were also very good. The hotel coffee and cocoa machine was very welcome.

Proximity to centre of Kyoto with bus outside the door to Kyoto Station in one direction and various attractions in the other. Just near river and restaurants. Despite the night life it was quiet.

Amazing hotel for 2-3 days stay in Kyoto :) It have everyhing and the location was just perfect. You can go for everything in Kyoto. Shopping and food places are near by. Also pubic transporation was near and good.

FranceThe room wasn't spotlessly clean but it was okay. We thought there were too many instructions about the trash, the towels, ect... It was nice to have a laundry room but the two washing and dryer machines (4 in total) were definitely not enough for all the clients (we sometimes had to queue and come back to get an available machine, which isn't ideal when you have a lot of things planned for the day) Also, it would be nice to add light in the entrance of the room
The location is perfect (so close to Nishiki, Pontocho, the River and Gion!!), the traditional Japanese decoration which made our stay more authentic, the comfort of the room (we liked having a small living room in the room), the living room area in the lobby, the functioning WiFi, the luggage delivery service at the front desk

NetherlandsThe only thing is that it's not made for tall people. I am 182cm and felt like I barely fit on the bed and was almost at eye level with the showerhead. Although this is more or less normal in Japan, it is always something to take into consideration (especially for the taller travelers).
The room is pretty spacious, location is very convenient with a Uniqlo right across the street and plenty of shops and sightseeing spaces. The metro is only a few minutes walk awau. The room had plenty of space for my suitcase and the bathroom is relatively big. But most importantly, the bed was really comfortable. It made me regret staying there only for 2 nights.

MaltaWe stayed for 4 days and our room was never cleaned. I understand they are trying to reduce waste and energy due to their environmental goals however other hotels are doing the same but they ask you if you want your room cleaned on a particular day. 2 days is doable but not 4 days.

Great location in the middle of Kyoto, close to shopping and restaurants/bars and train station. We loved that despite being on a busy street, the second you walk down the path to the front door it feels like an oasis away from the chaos. We were surprised how quiet the room was, couldn’t hear any road noise.
