It felt a little isolated relying on public transportation. Public busses only started running at 9am and ended at 6pm, we weren't able to reliably secure a taxi at the time we wanted. I would recommend renting a car if you plan on staying here or be willing to be flexible with your itinerary.

Spacious, large clean room. The open air bath was an oasis and very relaxing. The included breakfast was delicious and filling.

Be prepared to walk a lot if you want to eat late evening. The buses stop about 1830!!! Not much in the way of restaurants in the immediate vicinity but a decent Family Mart under the main part of the hotel. Best plan is to eat at lunchtime and then snack later.

We stayed in the annex which was really lovely. Very spacious and comfortable. Staff were excellent and breakfast, which was served in the annex, was very nice. Check in and out was very quick and simple. The location for Mt Fuji was stunning.......just a very short walk.

Excellent value for money. Location just 100 m. from the lake and next to Bus stop N 15 which is very convenient logistically to explore the whole area. Great customer service. Spacious rooms. Simple, yet delicious breakfast.

The location is good and bad. Good in that it’s on the side of the lake with a lot of cherry trees and a great view of Mount Fuji. Bad in that there’s not much within walking distance and there’s no bike rental nearby. The rooms are directly on top of the FamilyMart with a bus stop right in front. Again, good and bad - convenient but until ~9pm there’s always people like loud bikers talking right outside of your window. The rooms have peekaboo views of Mt Fuji.

Rooms were modern, a good size, very clean & bedding very comfortable. Lake Kawaguchiko was a minute walk across the road, with great views of Mt Fuji & an excellent cycling/walking path around the lakeside. There is a cafe & well stocked convenience store located on the ground floor of the main building. A selection of restaurants nearby within a short walk.

the breakfast is good, the room is spacious and with complete facilities. It's very tidy. Though, no receptionist at the counter for 24-hour services, you can still contact them through their landline. Family Mart is connected to the Hotel with easy access but not 24 hrs. Across the street is the 15th station for the REDLINE busses

Lovely stay. The location is great, within walking distance of the lake, convenience stores, and restaurants. Renovated, comfortable room with a great bed and a nice outdoor bath option. Cozy breakfast. It's located on the road so you can hear the traffic. But don't worry, traffic almost stops completely at night and the air con is enough to clear the outside noise.

I was a bit confused by the mixed message as one counter staff, as well as the website, said there is a shuttle bus service from the hotel while another staff from another day told me they don't have it. But all is good.

The room is amazing. I love the setup and how quiet it is at night time. Will definitely stay here again next time I travel to Kawakuchiko.
