Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

AustraliaFurniture a bit old, and sparse. House is old, traditional, with some refurbishment, but general musty smell of old cabinets. Very small sign pointing down a gravel track, difficult to find, but understand land owner only allowed small sign.
Midori the host was very friendly and helpful, went out of her way as a go between for booking Dinner, as private restaurant was only Japanese speaking, so translated and re-visited to help us. Loved the quietness, and bushland right up to the doorstep. Very generous with living items, kitchen had everything, rice cooker, good sized stove, insect spray, everything! Bathroom, deep bath, all above expectation.

United Arab EmiratesThe hosts were amazing, really sweet people and their pet kitty Pooh-chan was very friendly as well (not in the property). We enjoyed the walks around the property in the woods, and the bon fire at night. It was such a relaxing time and would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a break from busy city life, or a break during a busy travel. I loved the bear holding the bench in the garden. They are also environmentally conscious and use earth friendly soaps.

New ZealandTiny Japanese style lodge in a little forest yet convenience close to town. We could see a monkey visits the garden in the morning. The owner is very environment friendly. She prepared warm bedding for us and very helpful. It was an awesome experience to stay at Hutte Leid for us. Especially for our kids.

It was nice having barbecue on the balcony. Tatami looked quite recent. The provided mosquito repeller candles were helpful.
