Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe music in the lobby was rather loud. That made talking exhausting when relaxing in the lobby in the evening. At breakfast there was soup labelled "vegetable bouillon" that had bacon in it. Another guest argued with the staff that bacon is not vegetarian, which they unfortunately didn't understand. ("There is beef in the soup!" "No beef! Pork!")
Very nice hotel with incredibly friendly staff. Everything was taken care of of, our room was in the 5th floor and had space for the luggage as well as a separate shower/bathtub room. There was a water and ice dispenser on our floor and tea and coffee for free in the lobby. The breakfast room was nice and lobby really comfortable as well. Good mixed (western/Japanese) breakfast. The hotel is right next to a subway station. You don't even have to get on the street from there to get into the lobby. The next bus station is 2-3 min by foot away and you can walk to the Imperial Palace or Nijo-jo easily.

United StatesWe loved this hotel! The location is perfect— it’s conveniently located right next to a subway station and walking distance to bus stops. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean with good amenities. It has 2 espresso machines in the lobby and water stations on every floor. A cafe next door with wonderful sandwiches, pastries and coffee is a great bonus! We”ll definitely stay there again!

This didn’t feel like a 3 star hotel, much higher star rating needed. Good choice for breakfast and cheap rates for room. Right next door to the metro - super convenient! Awesome coffee shop/bakery right next door called School Bus coffee (highly recommend). Not worth paying for a garden view but it did mean no street noise.

IrelandI would love if I can open the window to get fresh air, as I dont like air condition. But everything else was perfect.
The hotel has excellent location directly next to metro station. The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious enough. We also had excellent breakfast. Great idea was also the coffee machines in the reception area. The check in/out was very efficient and the staff was very polite and friendly. Me and family, we loved our stay there.
