Breakfast time is crowded and serving is slow. not much of options at the buffet bar.

Its facility design is supreme. The vibe is good. You can see the Inuyama castle from the lobby.

It’s not in Nagoya. It’s pretty far out. $80 US Uber ride there and another $80 back.

It’s a gorgeous, new and meticulously kept resort. I didn’t even know it had an onsen and tea house until we arrived. If I knew, I would have booked more time there. The onsen was amazing and so well kept. Loved the amenities. The gift shop had beautiful and unique things. The rooms were so well appointed. Gorgeous furniture and unique style. The food at the breakfast was delicious. The staff was the best we met in all of Japan on our 2 week trip. They were helpful, engaged, spoke perfect English and very hospitable. The bartender even made a cocktail for us even though he was cleaning up after hours. The products in the onsen and bathroom were high quality. If we come again, I’d love to stay fro longer because we didn’t get to see the tea house or the shrine on the top of the hill. Truly a gorgeous property!

Dinner and bar menu unaffordable for us. Not many dinner options in walking distance.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Lovely breakfast (western) with a fabulous view of the neighbouring castle. Our room had a view of the river and mountains. We found a local sushi place to eat dinner which was very nice.

Really nothing that we did not like. If anything, food at the restaurant breakfast was maybe not at the level I would have expected relative to the rest of the hotel. In a similar way, the onsen was not the best we had ever experienced.

Exceptional hotel with unparalleled ambiance, both in the public areas as well as the room. Just entering the hotel gave us a sense of wanting to be there, a calm and tranquility very rare to find.

Our rooms were overlooking the restaurant ceiling, therefore did not afford us a view of the garden pool. I was very disappointed about this oversight, as I paid extra for a River, garden and castle view.

Expectations were met, compared to my original visit. Relaxing, and slow.

A bit of a walk to the train station. A bit inconvenient if it’s raining.

Nothing comes to mind. I think this was as close to perfect stay. I guess for the more remote location it seems a bit pricey but still worth it.

Dining options at the in-house restaurant can be rather pricey, but at least the quality of food was great!

Beautifully designed and landscape property with an awesome view of the Inuyama castle. My room was comfortable and spacious, and the staff also thoughtfully gifted me with some local sweets for my birthday. The hotel onsen was also clean, new and well maintained. Another highlight was the complimentary entry to the adjacent Urakuen teahouse, which was small but very tastefully designed and perfect for a short mindful walk ◡̈

The fact that I couldn't stay another day....

Outstanding facility. It began with the smiling reception staff at the driveway. Very helpful and friendly, from road to the room, it was the same person that spoke English. I did not expect this hotel to be a 5+ star rating!! One has to reside here, for at least a day, to realize what a treat it was... The fit and finish was done in warm wood and extreme craftsmanship. There was not anything, that made me think negatively about this outstanding hotel. It is definitely, a 'must come back' to hotel
