Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomGreat that free drinks and snack were provided. Coffee, juice and tea were great. The bread and pastries weren’t to my taste, often dry and best avoided when there are so many other good food options in the city.
Location was perfect, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Loved the bathroom and bath.

GreeceInsomnia KYOTO was truly one of the highlights of our short trip to Kyoto! Very helpful and friendly staff, eager to answer to all of our questions about sightseeing, place to eat, etc. The room was comfortable, clean, with lots of amenities. A huge plus was the all day buffet with snacks and drinks in case you wanted to hang out at the hotel. I totally recommend Insomnia for staying in Kyoto!

Loved our stay here. We'll come back here next time we are in Kyoto. The hotel is new. Rooms are well equipped and nicely decorated. Small but spacious by Japanese hotel standards. The beds are high so our suitcases fitted nicely underneath. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The 24h free coffee and bakery items in the lobby were most welcome. The location is excellent as well. 3 min walk to the station, which has two different metro lines. 7 Eleven around the corner. Cafes and restaurants nearby. Nijo castle a short walk away.

United KingdomWhat a beautiful hotel! The room was spacious, the decor simple but beautiful. The hotel provides complementary drinks ( coffe/tea/green tea/orange juice) at the reception with some bread & pastries. We didn't have the chance to use them, but there were also bikes. The location was perfect - close to everything, you can easily walk everywhere in Kyoto. There is also a Subway station just around the corner. They also provide pyjamas for stay over 2 nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel.This is so far our favourite hotel in Japan.

The best hotel we took so far in Japan. The room was spacious, the hotel offered 24 hours free snacks, pastries and drinks in the lobby, which was fun, because until now we met only hotels which eating was forbidden in the lobby… The staff was amazing, helping us with everything we needed!
