Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Lovely staff! The property itself was amazing as well. The room and outdoor hot bath were so nice, we ended up not checking out until 11 (even though we had other plans) just so we could enjoy it more. Truly relaxing. I stayed at a ryokan in Kyoto for the same price but this beat it out by leagues.

Loved strolling around with the provided pyjamas and the private onsen. The dinner was a wonderful culinary experience with top-quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Perfectly located near Atami, it's an ideal retreat. If I could, I'd give it more than 10 stars. Just perfect!

FranceWe didn't realise that dinner had to be booked beforehand. Future guests should make sure they either have a dinner reservation at the ryokan or plan ahead to bring food to eat in their room.
