Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

DenmarkThe water is very!!! Hot in the bath. Dont make the mistake of messing up the mixing. Burnt myself ever so slightly when a few drops hit my leg. Its an old manual mix so if you forget to turn on the cold water you risk scalding yourself

United StatesThere isn't any particular aspect we disliked about the hotel, although the bathroom in our room was slightly outdated.
The location was great, as it was very close to Kyoto station. Our family of four, including children, had a great time. The breakfast was delicious and presented very well. Family mart, Starbucks, other coffee shops, restaurants, and even a kids’ play area around the Ryokan made the location perfect for us. We highly recommend it! convenient mark

The responses to messages were prompt. We ended up reaching very late by 11 pm; but the host very graciously stayed up to let us in and furthermore, kept our dinner warm and ready even though the service staff had left.

Lovely ryokan, traditional style offering 2 meals. We love the room, the bedding was set up as we arrived late in the evening, otherwise they would have done that while we're having dinner. All was well set up. There's a small welcome dessert, while staffs are helpful and speaks English well. They also helped us to arrange for a birthday cake in advance per special request via email. They're super thoughtful. Talking with the front desk, we found out it's a family run business for 4 generations.

AustraliaI didn’t like the facilities of the public bath - some showers were a little dirty by and the temperature of the bath was too hot; reaching the point that it was unenjoyable for use. Furthermore, there was very limited skincare supplies as most had run out.
I loved the customer service - it was far beyond my expectations! The property’s close proximity to different stores and restaurants was another benefit!

Location: walking distance to Kyoto Station & restaurants & convenience stores & easy access to transportation to tourist attractions. The ability to check your luggage if you arrive early and for the staff to have it in your room when you check in, the small onsen & the 24 hour front desk were huge bonuses. The room’s full bathroom was unexpected & welcomed. Finally, the friendly staff and cleanliness of this ryokan were greatly appreciated. Yes, I would stay here again. David.
