The bus only comes 3 times a day so make sure to review the bus schedule to and from the hostel if you don’t have a car

Location 20 minutes walking from the base of Mount Asahidake, onsen was wonderful, really nice and spacious common space and kitchen. The personnel was really friendly and great value!

Private toilet doesn't contain automatic bidet but the share toilet is great.

Outdoor onsen is exceptional. There's small window and I can see the forest view with snow.

Front desk staff is awesome, onsen is open until late and just perfect timing for a backcountry lodge. living and dining spaces are huge and comfortable, with a little area with hammocks which is a nice spot for a stretch before and after snowboarding.

Lovely staff, had some good conversations and they were very helpful. The onsen is incredibly luxurious, I will definitely stay here again next time I want to go up Asahidake. There's also a nice change common room if you want to hang out or have some online calls.

    There's nothing we didn't like.

This was our second stay at K's. It really is awesome. It's location is perfect for riding Asahidake and taking in the fresh mountain air. The kitchen facilities are insanely good for a hostel and all of their operational systems are very organised. They've thought of everything! The cherry on top is the onsen. We honestly can't fault the place! Would highly recommend to anyone.

The staff was amazing, the onsen was incredible, open early in the morning, and it’s a 20 minute walk from the ropeway. Huge open space downstairs with free toast and an incredibly well set up and stocked kitchen.

Such wonderful value for money. Great facility for skiers in terms ski gear drying equipment, including a room in which one can wax their skis.

Nothing! Even though there is no shower facility in my room, I think it is meant for you to shower at the onsen area. Pure bliss of soaking in the onsen every day.

It is conveniently located near Mt Asahidake ropeway, about 15 mins walk away. A quiet comfortable and cozy hostel with a well equipped kitchen. There is no eatery nearby but you can buy your own groceries and cook your food there. The onsen was malfunctioning when I was there but I was given onsen vouchers to another hotel nearby which was really nice. Breakfast (two slices of bread with jam/coffee/tea) was also provided. Staff were also friendly and nice.

The mattress was okayish, but hopefully, it is due for replacement shortly.

The room was spacious and clean. The kitchen/ common area is well equipped for self-catering (4 working stations with pans, pots, etc.). Salt/ pepper/ oil/ basic seasoning is available, as well as tea. Sufficient number of fridges/ freezers. There has been a minor issue in my room which the staff resolved promptly. Availability of the onsen is a big plus. Considering the price range in the Asahidake Onsen area, this place is definitely value for your money. Highly recommended!

The bathroom was a bit too small. Since, the concept is of a hostel, it works fine but it was a little too compact for us.

Amazing Location- You get a view of Mount Asahidake from your room. Also, the road leading to the property is beautiful with many animals. We saw deer crossing and multiple Japanese Raccoon dogs on our way to and fro. Helpful staff- we left our water bottle at the hotel. They sent it through Yamato to our next hotel. Spacious room and kitchen and condiments are provided. They also provide two huge slices of bread with jam every day. Value for money. Highly recommended for a budget stay in the area.
