How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We couldn't check-in at the given time yet they provided the entrance code and keys to the room and settled everything in the morning. They gave so much tips for visiting places and were so kind to us! Also they speak fluently english which is rare in this country 😄 would stay here again!

The hostel has shared facilities. It is not the staff's fault, but... let's say, the shared toilet is just as clean as other guests on the floor.
Staff was very nice. Even though everything we wanted to do was planned, she gave us some interesting tips about an event, and it was a great one! Room was comfortable.

Amazing hostel with the kindest and helpful staff. They were so so nice. The commun area is cozy. The rooms and facilities are more than clean. Located near the river, beautiful for walk. A bus goes directly from Kanazawa station, very convenient. One of the best hostel I stayed. Highly recommended.

Hostel was very quiet. Like it felt myself and my partner were the only ones there, only saw 1 other guest our entire stay there. Not necessarily a bad thing but it was the quietest hostel I've ever been too. There were 2 showers and 3 toilets on our floor but 1 shower and 2 toilets were closed for maintenance, again wasn't a big deal but if there were a lot of guests it would be a problem. Overall I really enjoyed this Hostel. 100% recommend. Staff were extremely helpful

The hostel is a bit far from the center but still walking distance. I didn't like the bunk bed. The mattress was comfortable but the frame is closed on 3 sides and with the scale on the fourth, I felt a bit cramped.
That was interesting to discover the design and architecture of that (nearly new, I guess) hostel. The room was very clean and comfortable, as were the facilities. As were the shared spaces. The neighborhood is quiet and the staff is friendly. There is a nice bakery in the street, as well as a lovely place to have a good breakfast. The easiest way to get to the hostel (unless you want to walk), is by bus. From Kanazawa station, take West exit and turn left. You'll face the bus dep area. Take bus 18 until Saiwai cho bus stop. 200 yens.

Location is a bit far from Kanazawa Station but it is close to other attractions like the castle, garden and ninja temple
Staff was incredibly welcoming! They explained everything clearly and calmly. They also helped me book tickets and helped plan out my next steps The accommodations themselves were clean and comfortable.

The staff is amazing!! Super sweet and very helpful! The rooms are comfy and all the common areas are well cleaned! The kitchen with the fridge system is so nice, oh and the rooftop too! (Just be careful the stairs to go up there are quite steep!)

It's slightly far from the station, but reached easily by loop bus.

Super friendly and helpful staff who had great recommendations for places to visit and delicious restaurants nearby! The rooms were incredibly clean, the bed very comfy and spacious and the bathroom was immaculate. Also, as a woman travelling alone, it felt very safe. I found the location to be great, really nearby a lot of the stuff I wanted to see and otherwise great transport links. I cannot recommend it enough!

the hostel was very clean, staff very friendly and the beds comfortable. All main attractions in Kanazawa are in walking distance or accessible by bus. The bus station of the two city lines is less than 100 meters away from the hostel.
